  1. We were on Beyond in April and it was great except for our creaking and popping stateroom😠 I enjoyed Beyond Signature, Orange Crush (The Club), Tito's Punch (Craft Social), Toffee Apple (martini bar). I missed having a passionfruit martini but have heard it's a good one. I also missed out on the Junglebird at the pool bar. Had a mudslide one afternoon 😋 I like sweet drinks 😉 Have you been to theater shows? The production show Arte was outstanding. Enjoy the rest of your cruise!
  2. I presume this is just a jug of tap water?
  3. This 6-pack of bottles, are they 1.0 liter or 1.5 liter each? Thanks so much!
  4. This is heartbreaking to me. I've said on this thread and others that we most likely won't sail Celebrity again but we had a fabulous time on Beyond in April and it was because of the excellent, friendly service we received from every crew member we came in contact with.
  5. I agree, this is so silly. We were on Beyond in April in a sky suite and would have enjoyed the balcony so much more with loungers or at least footstools. This was our first X cruise so we didn't know that we could ask for them. Therefore, it's probably our last X cruise because as new, unsuspecting customers, I guess we are unimportant. Our suite also had the creaking and popping problem....so that's another story.
  6. I assume this is also in the Celebrity Today on your current cruise? It was never in the same place in the CT each day, but was there each day for our 10 days.
  7. This was in Celebrity Today every day on our April cruise on Beyond. We didn't witness the mass chair hoggery that we had heard so much about (did see a very few scurrying about while on our early morning track walks) so wondered if there had maybe been a crackdown. I would take the Celebrity Today to guest services and ask why they are not following through.
  8. We were in Sky suite 9168. There is a long thread with many affected stateroom #s and it is random all over the ship. It is a shame that Beyond is a lemon - we enjoyed the ship, the entertainment, pretty much everything but we will not sail Beyond again nor Ascent or Xcel (same design. Ascent already has reported problems) We knew nothing about the creaking, popping, bowling ball rolling (yes, we had that one night -the bed actually lifted up and we thought something was under there) problem when we booked in January and paid the full amount for the cruise. Sometime in mid-March, we found a report here on CC about our suite having problems but by then, everything was booked so we just said some prayers and packed OTC sleep meds, ear plugs, and 2 white noise machines hoping maybe it had been fixed. We probably won't sail any Celebrity ship again because it is wrong that they continue to book these staterooms to unsuspecting passengers. Surely they know by now which ones have problems. They need to fix them or block them from booking. Best wishes for your cruise! We had a wonderful time and made some great memories but we missed out on a lot of sleep.
  9. Which shows did you see? We had Stage Door, Elements and Arte on our 10N. Stage Door was the only one that was a bit underwhelming. We thought Elements and Arte were outstanding and loved the aerialists and acrobats. I said it several times in our live thread - we really felt like we had Vegas quality entertainment on Beyond. We have very limited cruise experience so far but we really did not expect to be so entertained. Going to the theatre was the highlight each day.
  10. We were on Beyond 10 nights in April and thought the crew amazing too...several who were "beyond amazing"! Did your stateroom have creaking, popping and banging? Ours did and if that were not such a big problem with the ship, we would book Beyond or another e-class ship without hesitation. I guess the smaller Celebrity ships are quieter/calmer? I think that's what we liked about Beyond - the energizing atmosphere. Eden was a nice quiet spot when we needed that. Cafe Al Bacio was relaxing and quiet in the morning.
  11. We were in Retreat on Beyond in April and really enjoyed breakfast at Blu one morning. Such a pretty restaurant! Wish we had worked it out to have dinner there - the menus look great! Enjoy!
  12. We were on Beyond for the Apr 12-22 cruise, loved Eden Cafe but they now have their specialty sandwich as Pork Belly Sliders instead of Cuban pork sliders. I've never had pork belly, tried these sliders, and they were very very fatty and I couldn't finish them. Maybe pork belly is not always like that? Regardless, we loved lots of other lunch options at Eden Cafe, including Tortilla Soup and different sandwiches!
  13. So glad to read this! We were on Beyond 10 nights in April and loved our cruise but I have a real sweet tooth and desserts never seemed to satisfy it. By the end of the cruise, they were just "eye candy" for me. We'll be on Rotterdam next spring so pleased to hear your description of the HAL buffet and desserts!
  14. We were on Beyond 10 nights in April and enjoyed just about everything we had in the MDRs. I loved the corn soup and thought it was very flavorful! In fact, every soup I had on the ship was very good and I was impressed because I'm an avid home cook and make a lot of soups. Beef (oxtail and short ribs) were favorites for us. Our waiter was great and would direct us toward dishes that he felt were the best that night. One night he brought us an extra main to share (a vegetarian dish) that was delicious. I never would have ordered it! Enjoy your cruise!
  15. First of all, I'm so sorry to read about your accident and hope you recover quickly! Laughing about the music in Antigua. We were on Beyond April 12-22 and as we walked into port there, they were playing "God Bless the USA" - a song we love but not exactly what we expected to hear on a Caribbean island! I hope your stateroom has not suffered from creaking and popping?
  16. We found Cosmopolitan to be quite elegant! We don't eat at chain restaurants so can't make a comparison there. But the reason we kept coming back to Cosmo (over Luminae) was our amazing waiter who gave us several nights of enjoyable dining.
  17. @cheeseheads4ever If our pending charges had not disappeared, I was just going to dispute them through our credit card. We did this once with a restaurant that double charged us and it was very easy online through our credit card account. It has become absolutely ridiculous to call "customer service" almost everywhere nowadays.
  18. There are just 2 within the premium package - Pina and Fig. I had Pina and did not care for it at all. I think it was the fennel. They all have some sort of earthiness ingredient. I really wanted to splurge for one of the $20 ones (especially the smokey one) but decided against it after trying Pina.
  19. Is it still pending? See my post #27 - we had 3 separate charges that we had no idea what they were but they just disappeared within 24-48 hours. Maybe wait it out to save the hassle of a phone call? We've had the same happen with other charges in the past (not from a cruise) good luck.
  20. Yes, that is what we encountered - have never seen the desk top set up before. I am SHOCKED about the geo-tagging!! 🤯 Thanks for the head's up!
  21. We left Beyond on 4/22 and had 3 separate pending charges on our CC and had no idea what they were. Within a couple of days, they disappeared and the one charge that moved off of pending was what we expected. We took photos of our statement on the stateroom TV night before disembarkation along with a photo of the mini bar items (didn't use anything) just in case because of this thread so thank you. You've really got to cover your... nowadays. We had a similar worry at an accommodation on the way home that had a crazy extensive mini-bar situation that we didn't touch but were afraid we would get charged for!
  22. Some are higher but we always stuck with the ones $17 or under as they were included in the premium drink package. We are not cocktail drinkers at home so the prices were a bit shocking!
  23. Well, yesterday was day 100! But she is staying on for a couple more cruises so apologies, didn't mean to spread incorrect info. Sounds like Captain Giuseppe is also onboard - that would be great to be on a "pair of captains" cruise!
