  1. I agree with @Host Hattie that it will be a long time before there is another Cunard ship. They need to get the QA into the water and filled with passengers.
  2. I’ll be sailing and reading along with you. Have safe travels @photosg.
  3. Thank you so much @Host Hattie for taking so much of your time to take us all along with you. Good luck adjusting to reality on Monday. 🙂 It probably won’t include a seafood platter. 😞
  4. @majortom10😉 Everyone who reads this forum knows how you feel about the FCC being unfair. Thank you again, your post was helpful.
  5. @buchanan101 Why are you going to break it up and sell it on ebay? What’s the detail like inside? The Home Alone House has great details in each room. Did they do that with this model such as the Queen’s Room?
  6. @majortom10 and @Victoria2 - I didn’t mean to cause a disturbance…thank you to both. We will just do the FCD. $175. for $400. is a good thing as Martha would say. So many people talk about the QV that I want to book a cruise on her. But, we already have 2 cruises booked for 2023. I’ll need the stock market to do well in 2024 so I can cruise without guilt in 2025. 🙂
  7. @Host Hattie We had not planned to have dinner in the Verandah since we’re in QG, but that is one spectacular seafood platter. Is lunch an option and if so, do they serve that platter? As for the dessert — strawberry pavlova? @Lanky Lad Not worth the calories, isn’t that correct @Victoria2? Where’s the chocolate?
  8. @Host Hattie I sure hope you will posting more of those food porn pics! I would like to see @Victoria2 ‘s lobster salad. I think I could do the lobster salad with a glass of white wine, and the chocolate cake with a pinot. Ideally it would be followed by a nap in filtered sun with a book resting in my lap. 63 days until we board.
  9. @Victoria2 Maybe I should think of doing this on our July 4, 2023 cruise rather than December 2022.Thanks for the 1 year reminder.
  10. @Victoria2 Thanks for the example. It is exactly what I needed to know.
  11. I learned at an early age to slice super thin lox from my Swedish grandmother. I still make my own using her recipe of sugar/salt/dill and very large cans of tomato juice to press it all down.
  12. I don’t know who said it first, but I concur “Life is short, eat dessert first,” and I would add, and make it chocolate.
  13. @Underwatr I applied last week and had no problem. The email was there and took less than 24 hours to hear back.
  14. Wow! I know some politicians who would like to raise government revenues. They need to learn from the Spanish.
  15. @buchanan101 Please post a pic of your Lego Titanic. It has been on my Christmas list but I’m challenged with where to place it once complete. Also, the 4 year takes great delight in taking apart all of the Lego builds I do for him. I tend to become a little cranky. Seriously, would ❤️ to see your build.
  16. @majortom10 If we book a cruise on board, and then can’t do it, can we change the dates? We will want a cruise in 2025, if we book a 2024 cruise this December whilst on board, could we move it to a 2025 cruise without penalty and still receiving the additional obc?
