  1. Here is a little better picture of the QE2 in port, near the Caribbean Princess Actually, we were looking at one of the Queens for a return trip to the US when we do our TA on Anthem next spring. Not much difference in cost than the airfare.
  2. So a strange thing happened on the way out of the cabin. We passed an older couple walking in the passageway. She was wearing a mask, but he wasn’t. As we are almost to them, he grabs his nose and holds it! What? I know it is warm, but did our deodorant stop working already? Nope, must be a way to avoid Covid exposure???? Does this method really work? Maybe the doctor will weigh in on this.
  3. We had no problem getting all our preferred times, but we boarded at 11. We booked Mama Mia for day 8 afternoon. We have seen the first half many times, but plan the second half then. By the way, this is the first sailing with the new cast performing Mama Mia. It is 3:20, and 1200 guests haven’t done the safety drill.
  4. In case anyone wants to know the show schedule for the week. We had everything booked before or during lunch.
  5. I think that was record time. Although I was highly upset that they didn’t open the doors to cabins til 1:01, when the sign said 1:00. Walked to our cabin, and our as yet undamaged new blue suitcases were already there. By 1:33, both cases unpacked and everything in its place. Of course, it helps when you pack everything on hangers.
  6. @HBE4 congratulations for a well played Rangers game last night. I didn’t need a close game when trying to sleep before a cruise. Game 7 - go big or go home time.
  7. Now, that is @Lionesss live review. Let’s give credit where it is due. Just like photo bombing, I occasionally show up.
  8. Not many people at Solarium Bistro. No waiting, and it is now self serve. A few of their food choices. Fruit for a healthy start. potatoes an rice with veggies chicken and beef. It seems the beef is chewy, but the BBQ chicken is good Roast beef. Susan says it was good. pasta and cookies. The cookies are good, according to me. And other deserts By the way, we met Sue and Rick. They are a nice couple, but anyone on Dani’s thread knows that already.
  9. We were in the commoner’s 11am line, and yes, they were checking boarding times. Some people got sent away to wait. 10:22 we are here 10:43 we are here.
  10. It is cruise morning for us, and will be heading to the port in an hour and a half. Meanwhile, daughter sent a picture this morning of a couple prowlers in their neighborhood last night.
  11. We had a few Senior Olympics Athletes at our hotel also. 8:22, and our muster drill is complete, other than visiting the muster station as soon as we board. Our station is at the Champagne Bar, so I am guessing they will not be open for drinks then.
  12. Now that sounds too early in the night for a couple dressed like that. 🤣🤣 Not us. We were busy lounging at the pool, trying to keep the planes from flying into the hotel.
  13. I think sail away is at 4:30. Looking forward to getting aboard again. Our leftover shrimp will be supper tonight.
  14. If the ArriveCAN has to be done 72 hours before arrival to Canada, I wonder how they handle this if the stop is at Victoria the day before getting back to Seattle. Will they be giving people internet to complete it? And what about those without phones? (I have heard there are some of those out there) I am getting hot here waiting for our cruise, John. Show me some cold pictures. 😀
  15. Morning was spent doing some shopping. (Not my idea). The only thing purchased was a pair of colorful shoes for our granddaughter. That isn’t to say that I didn’t find some colorful outfits for Susan. Evidently she is older than I think she is. At least according to her. I didn’t know they had an age limit for clothes. 🤣🤣 We did see a few of these wandering around. There were so many on the way from the airport yesterday, our driver had to stop and point them out. He said they taste like chicken. I guess I will have to take his word for that. Lunch today was at the Rustic Inn Crab House. I still can’t believe you can get two of these meals for Friday lunch special, with drink included, for less than $30 total. Enough left over to take back to the hotel, plus they gave us coke refills to go. Time for some relaxing pool time.
  16. Or it could have been a homeless person napping. We have seen a few up near our hotel. In fact, one lady took up residence in her lounge chair, right in front of the cross walk buttons. Maybe she was expecting payment if you wanted to push the button to cross the street.
  17. I had one of my long posts go poof yesterday. Got to love CC sometimes. Anyhow, I was posting a few things we found as we wandered around the airport before our flight. When I first saw an Escape Pod, so many things came to mind. The intended use is for a quiet office space, if you have to get some work done. Me, I never like working in closets. Cost $10 for 15 minutes. Does it lock you in and make you pay more if you overshoot your time? Well, after escaping your pod, you might be stressed, so head over to Presley’s Place. Well, it isn’t Graceland, but it says you can destress here. Maybe it is just me, but I wouldn’t want to be with 48 other people trying to destress. Then, they have this (which they had to label that is is not actually an x-ray machine. I just used it to see how my pre-cruise diet went. Looks like I can eat and drink as much as I want now. 🤣 Not exactly airport related, but we found some interesting clouds on our way. Hope everyone has a safe Friday the 13th.
  18. Doesn’t it mean that if it is Orange on boarding day, that all cases are crew in quarantine? Any +ve passengers would have been kicked off, and any +ve would not be able to board.
  19. Sounds good. Us, after a relaxing afternoon at the pool and hot tub, we headed out for the evening Supper at The Field Irish Pub and Eatery. For starters, a Black and stormy ( made with Black Jamaican Rum) They have a nice old Banyan tree here. Bangers and mash, because you have to get in overeating mode for the cruise. And Irish cabbage rolls for Susan.
  20. I see you are more like Susan (must be the name) and I am more like Rick with those to do lists. No rest for the wicked. 😀. Looking forward to lunch tomorrow at the Rustic Crab House. And looking at some pool time.
