  1. Thanks for the kind words. Glad you enjoyed it. I know there were a couple reviews I did using some videos from the Periscope app. I am not sure if those videoed survived, since Periscope is no more.
  2. Last night, our daughter, SIL, and grandkids were here for dinner. Of course, when my grandson saw my impromptu decoration of our Valentineโ€™s Day tree for Presidentโ€™s Day, he wanted to know if he could have the money from the tree to buy something. His mother says โ€œThey just gave you money for Valentines Day, and you spent it allโ€ Him โ€œThatโ€™s why I need more!โ€ Me โ€œThose are ones on the tree, so you couldnโ€™t buy muchโ€ So, Susan, who is known as the chief enabler at our house, grabs her purse and peals off some larger bills and hands them to him. Then, she realizes she needs to keep things even, so she hands a bunch to our granddaughter. They both left, flashing cash and talking about what they wanted to buy last night. They are coming for lunch today, so I hope they arenโ€™t broke already.
  3. My daughter-in-law made it through her trip to Singapore without getting anything. Then she found out she was in close contact with someone at work on Wednesday that tested positive. DIL tested last night, and now she has it. Just a sore throat for her so far.
  4. Our dinner last night. A traditional Turkey dinner with all the sides Yes, those are eggs in the background. We were splurging. ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ Desert was this. And, of course a little Baileyโ€™s after dinner.
  5. I think that is the first I have seen bow access for a photo shoot. We have been invited to the bow area on several ships, but never this. How much were they charging, and what do you get for that price?
  6. You missed your chance. Taylor Swift gave birth to 9 puppies, and they were all put up for adoption. https://www.newsweek.com/rescue-dog-named-taylor-swift-gives-birth-9-puppies-all-given-song-names-1778893 Donโ€™t know if Jade would have got along with any of them, though.
  7. According to my email, I see that Primanti Bros. is staring a slice of pizza a day Club. For $9.99 a month, you can get a slice every day of the month. I can say that I have never gone there to order a pizza, when they have such good sandwiches. Somehow, the pizza slice they use in the ad doesnโ€™t look appetizing. Maybe if I miss Sorentoโ€™s, I may have to try it. ๐Ÿ˜‚
  8. Adding to the concerts discussion. I think the last one we went to was Paul McCartney, and it was one of the best. It was an amazing show.
  9. It has been reported here that some of the residents of East Palestine were extras in that movie. Talk about dรฉjร  vu.
  10. Meant to ask yesterday, if you saw the South Park โ€œWorldwide Privacy Tourโ€ with the Prince of Canada and his wife ? Surprising how much they resemble Harry and his wife. Hopefully, that isnโ€™t something that would lead to playing monopoly. Sometimes, monopoly means being down to your last dollar and having almost all your properties mortgaged. At least it does here.
  11. We do the same thing. Although on one of our cruises last year, they only charged 16.99 instead of 20. I told our waiter it was wrong, that we always paid 20. He said no, it is just 16.99. So he had the head waiter come out, and he also said it was only 16.99, and that included the tip. We ended up tipping our waiter extra that night.
  12. May look at one of the longer sailings on Navigator if our grandson spends the summer with us. Interested in how the ship is. Doubt that I would get off the ship in Ensenada. Was not impressed with that port. As far as Lightyear, I was disappointed in that movie. I was expecting something along the original Toy Story line, and it was far from it. Maybe that is why it did so poorly at the box office. Watching a movie on a cruise would be last on my list, regardless of what is playing.
  13. I thought it was interesting that we got an email from our water company, telling us everything was fine, but that they have increased their testing for toxic chemicals. Their water supply doesnโ€™t draw water from the waterways from the East Palestine train wreck, but winds carried the toxic cloud, from the chemical burn, toward our area. It is really horrible the response the residents there have received.
  14. Operation is next Wednesday. We have been getting lots of items she will need post-operation, and the last of them should be here this weekend. We will have the grandkids for a couple days, while she is in the hospital.
  15. When ever our grandkids want something, and their mother says no, they just say that they will ask grandma because she never says no. And so far, that has been the case.
  16. That is the way it works out for some of us. I remember thinking - Now that we have paid for our kids college education, that will be the end of the money drain. Then, after paying for two weddings, I thought that would be the end. Then we started that tradition of taking them, and the grandkids, along for winter holidays each year. But I wouldnโ€™t change a thing.
  17. And in a bit of trivia, that is the poster Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins) used to cover his tunnel in Shawshank Redemption.
  18. I am playing catch up this morning on this thread. I canโ€™t believe that no one mentioned that Raquel Welch passed away. I still have my poster of her from 1,000,000 years BC. I would assume that many others had that same poster in the late 60โ€™s.
  19. Congratulations on your 35th anniversary this weekend. That looks like a nice trip to celebrate. I think my favorite tour from Naples was visiting Mt. Vesuvius and Pompei. We visited several of those ports on a 14 day sailing from Southampton in 2019. If you are interested in reading about any of the places we visited, I did a live report from that cruise. I see you are like I was, trying to gather as much info before the trip. Here is a link to that review.
