  1. According to my email, I see that Primanti Bros. is staring a slice of pizza a day Club. For $9.99 a month, you can get a slice every day of the month. I can say that I have never gone there to order a pizza, when they have such good sandwiches. Somehow, the pizza slice they use in the ad doesn’t look appetizing. Maybe if I miss Sorento’s, I may have to try it. 😂
  2. Adding to the concerts discussion. I think the last one we went to was Paul McCartney, and it was one of the best. It was an amazing show.
  3. It has been reported here that some of the residents of East Palestine were extras in that movie. Talk about déjà vu.
  4. Meant to ask yesterday, if you saw the South Park “Worldwide Privacy Tour” with the Prince of Canada and his wife ? Surprising how much they resemble Harry and his wife. Hopefully, that isn’t something that would lead to playing monopoly. Sometimes, monopoly means being down to your last dollar and having almost all your properties mortgaged. At least it does here.
  5. We do the same thing. Although on one of our cruises last year, they only charged 16.99 instead of 20. I told our waiter it was wrong, that we always paid 20. He said no, it is just 16.99. So he had the head waiter come out, and he also said it was only 16.99, and that included the tip. We ended up tipping our waiter extra that night.
  6. May look at one of the longer sailings on Navigator if our grandson spends the summer with us. Interested in how the ship is. Doubt that I would get off the ship in Ensenada. Was not impressed with that port. As far as Lightyear, I was disappointed in that movie. I was expecting something along the original Toy Story line, and it was far from it. Maybe that is why it did so poorly at the box office. Watching a movie on a cruise would be last on my list, regardless of what is playing.
  7. I thought it was interesting that we got an email from our water company, telling us everything was fine, but that they have increased their testing for toxic chemicals. Their water supply doesn’t draw water from the waterways from the East Palestine train wreck, but winds carried the toxic cloud, from the chemical burn, toward our area. It is really horrible the response the residents there have received.
  8. Operation is next Wednesday. We have been getting lots of items she will need post-operation, and the last of them should be here this weekend. We will have the grandkids for a couple days, while she is in the hospital.
  9. When ever our grandkids want something, and their mother says no, they just say that they will ask grandma because she never says no. And so far, that has been the case.
  10. That is the way it works out for some of us. I remember thinking - Now that we have paid for our kids college education, that will be the end of the money drain. Then, after paying for two weddings, I thought that would be the end. Then we started that tradition of taking them, and the grandkids, along for winter holidays each year. But I wouldn’t change a thing.
  11. And in a bit of trivia, that is the poster Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins) used to cover his tunnel in Shawshank Redemption.
  12. I am playing catch up this morning on this thread. I can’t believe that no one mentioned that Raquel Welch passed away. I still have my poster of her from 1,000,000 years BC. I would assume that many others had that same poster in the late 60’s.
  13. Congratulations on your 35th anniversary this weekend. That looks like a nice trip to celebrate. I think my favorite tour from Naples was visiting Mt. Vesuvius and Pompei. We visited several of those ports on a 14 day sailing from Southampton in 2019. If you are interested in reading about any of the places we visited, I did a live report from that cruise. I see you are like I was, trying to gather as much info before the trip. Here is a link to that review.
  14. They will usually show up in 7 to 10 days. I think they have a glitch in their system. One cruise I canceled in October and two that I canceled in January show as past cruises, but no points were ever awarded for those. Too bad, because those were all suites.
  15. Out enjoying our mid 50° weather today. I can’t believe that the trees are starting to bud. That is definitely a little early for our area. We are supposed to be close to 70° tomorrow.
  16. @dani negreanu Dani, that sounds like a horrible travel day. I hope you are able to relax and enjoy the rest of your trip.
  17. +1 for birthdays and Valentine’s Day Just like the Tubi commercial, I wish I didn’t venture down THAT rabbit hole on the origins of Valentine’s Day.
  18. We are so lucky, we get to visit our dentist tomorrow morning for our routine cleaning. We had to find a new one also, when ours retired during the pandemic. He is way too thorough, so I am sure he will find something with one of us.
  19. We were out for a walk at the lake today. Seeing a lot more eagles lately, but it is mating season, so they are more active. Sorry, no pictures of mating, but I did find this pair in one tree. A little closer video of the male. IMG_6814.MOV They are something to see, flying in tandem.
  20. Susan is still a Covid virgin. She never got it, and we were on five cruises in 2021 and 2022 during the height of it. I never got it until after our flight to California last summer to pick up our grandson. I was surprised she didn’t get it then, nor did anyone else. It was just like a cold when I had it. We only had one booster, and probably will not get another. Maybe if we had health concerns we would.
