  1. Our o p , appears to be a frequent passenger on the Silver Sea ultra luxury line. Having been a guest on that line I can a test that the o p may have a slanted view of cuisine on a mega ship vs. a luxury liner. It's like comparing oranges to apples. I've taken the liberty of inquiring about this fine author with some acquaintance's I have in the industry. Other than the web, none had heard of her. But that's neither here nor there. I found one of her articles to be more about politics and history, rather than what the title suggested. If your going to write a published article about food and wine, it would behoove the author to comment on presentation, aroma, contents, flavors etc...
  2. well now, that's depends on your mood, and your mood depends on how many glasses of wine consumed. After four glasses I don't give a damn.
  3. 🤔 hmmmm. We've have gotten stamped that one and three prior cruises
  4. leisure travel industry can be a fickle love affair. The cruise industry is costly and burdened from regulations. Even so; we have taken a position in CCL, RCL and DIS, we don't look to them as sprinters as much as marathoner's . Through out this decade, with the exception of 2020, they have served their purpose in our portfolio. We are confident the quarterly earnings report will be positive for all three.
  5. Oooooh boy ! I have so many questions
  6. A benefit for some of being across from the concierge lounge, would be the morning latte & expresso shuffle. I'm a nearly riser, I dawn my robe and slippers shuffle across the passageway to the lounge. Pretend I'm a barista, then shuffle back to our cabin and serve my wife latte in bed. 😉

  9. I don't think the tipping culture here will be daunted by increases in hourly wages paid to staff working in the food and beverage industry.
  10. I'm not much for pizza ... or at least I wasn't until I read this article. Thanks Rafael 😉
  11. we/Americans don't tip "everyone" . Mainly those in the food & beverage service industry, not the lawn care service, checkout clerks or my ex wife/mayor.
  12. I'm afraid that our tipping culture has caught up with the service industry in Australia
  13. we were down under Thanks Giving day. The dining rooms were decorated, roasted turkey, stuffing, smashed potatoes, gravy, peas, and cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie with whipped cream. It was a nice surprise and we were grateful.
  14. there's the good ole' UK spirit
  15. I guess my lovely wife and I will indulge in the Britto prosecco
  16. 😄 California, the only state to shoot itself in the foot, and then hand the gun over to somebody else to reload.
