Embarkation (boarding) in Reykjavik to BEGIN cruise

Since we will be in Iceland a few days before our cruise departs from Reykjavik, we figure we will need a Covid test prior to boarding. Tests done at home would be too far out from cruise date, I assume. So I just booked appointments for our tests to be done at the HARPA CONCERT HALL 48 hours before embarkation ! It was an easy process to book and pay by credit card...$109.07 for two of us (odd amount due to US $ conversion today). I printed out the appointment confirmation as well as received a text on my phone. One step done in preparation! In a perfect world none of this will be necessary in August, but just in case....

PS. and I don’t plan to keep my phone attached to me! So no apps! Just flip flops and a cold one!

We like/rely on the printed”daily “ left each evening. I use a highliter to mark what i am most interested in doing…fold and keep it with me during the day…a quick reference when I lose track of time/events. Spouse does the same and occasionally we meet up. 🤣🤣

I have made my final payment for an August cruise. 🤑 I keep checking for sales and was able to reduce my final payment recently when a sale came up before I paid! So I am wondering if anybody knows if I might be able to get any onboard credit should there be another price drop and / or any promotion offered between now and sailing. A phone conversation just had me believe that is not possible, since I already paid in full. Seems reasonable to me that any sale to a new booking could be honored to me as an OBC. (I believe I did just that for a previous cruise so time ago.) But then again, how reasonable would that be when a company is trying to increase revenue? 🤣

I just payed my balance over the phone for an August cruise …. and got a few questions answered as well as a lovely repricing! no problem . Received Email confirmation/receipt immediately. As for long wait times…try calling very early AM or late evening and you may have less wait time. FYI…during long waiting, I put my phone on speaker and go about doing things within earshot while waiting… good time management? Just be sure your phone is plugged into your charger 🤣🤣

To some, perhaps an odd question , but anyway... Has anybody ever used, or seen anybody use, a hair wrap / bathing cap type of thing while in the lagoon water? I know it is recommended to tie back/up long hair.
