  1. Hi Everyone ,

Some of you may have noticed I had booked another cruise a couple of days ago .

Booked a guarantee cabin inside - Cheap,it was the cheapest deal available ,and with OBC ,booked with an overseas travel agent ,the first time that I have used them ,very happy with their service ,just doing the online check in -

    WOW Cabin Allocated already.

Very happy with where I have been allocated ,doing a happy dance !!!!!!

I am on deck 10.*** I love the upgrade fairy ***

    Cheers Deb

  2. Hi Everyone,

I have going thru pages and pages searching ,but still I can't find the answer .

So thought I would ask here ,I am sure someone must know the answer .

My question is " Does the Celebrity Century have a Chef's Table ?

If yes ,does anyone know how much please?

    Thanks

    Deb

  3. This cruise is as cheap as I have seen it for inside and other categories. If we weren't in China at that time we would have grabbed a budget inside for a short break

I am seeing $1134 US (all taxes included) for a Concierge GTY. Are you seeing better than that?

My TA will open around 11pm AEST tomorrow night and be open till 8am the next morning. That is pretty normal 9-5 hours over there. Most of the agents work different hours though. I have had many who work at night so you call them in the morning till early arvo. See if you can spring grats drinks and OBC.

Hi Woodyren, the pricing I have is for a solo cabin and they have quoted $800 inside GTY with $100 OBC (was $1400 on Celebrity site ),

When I did my research, I was looking at were hundreds more in each cat.

I have my email at the bottom of my signature if you want to contact me about the Credit cards security.;)

    Cheers Deb

  4. I have booked 8 cruises now with USA TA's. Have nothing but good things to say about all three of the ones I have used. Don't forget to monitor for any price drops up until final payment and also check after that to see if an upgrade can be had for a little extra $$$.

Definitely talk over the phone. They might even chuck in an extra something if you ask.

Just be careful that the price they have advertised on their site is not a group or senior pricing because you will almost certainly not get the perks (the ones from the cruiseline anyway. The drinks pkg actually comes from Celebrity) with those fares.

One of the big ones I have used is advertising an upcoming big sale.

Would you mind letting us know what cruise you are looking at.

    Hi woodyren,

I am looking at the Celebrity Century,22nd October 2014.So a bit close to final payment .Will check what is include when I speak to them, they are closed at the moment .I wonder what time do they open ? Is it Sunday over there ?

I already have a cruise booked in November but I have just found out that some of my friends are all booked on the October cruise and they want me go with as well ,I must be crazy;),but I can get time off (already been accepted ),so why not ,the joys of being a cruise addict !!

    Cheers Deb

  5. Your most welcome deb

    Hi Greg

I think I have found a big well known one .They have been in around for 31 years I think I read .The price have on a concierge balcony is as cheap as an inside cabin thru Celebrity Australia site, for a single cruiser.

  6. Hi everyone,

The Celebrity site is a classic example ! A inside cabin which states,a price of $385.90 AUD per person ,+port fees(Inside Guarantee) but at the next page it says $898 for 2 passengers, then on the next page it goes up another $400 for the cabin ,I know tips are included but why advertise the cheap price if they going to charge so much more.

I rang about it to get extra friends onboard ,3 calls and they all said the same thing it is tax and fees extra .Very frustrating, when the lead in is so much lower , also when they are on other sites at cheaper prices.

    Cheers Deb

Editing due to email for confirmation just came in -the total is now $1398 for 2 passengers .

  7. Have a gander at the Celebrity site and do a mock booking. Classic example.

  9. I "room transferred" a friend who was in an inside cabin to my Royal Suite after we boarded. He paid for inside only. His sea pass account was then billed for the extra $3.50 per day gratuity. we did this so he could get the free beverage package tacked on to my reservation.

He got points for sailing in the Royal.

This was Constellation January 2014 for 5 nights.

The rules seem to say you get points based on what you pay for, but in this case he only paid for the Inside..

    Hi cle_guy ,

How do you transfer from one cabin to another, do you see the front desk ? one of my friends is in a 4 berth cabin ,as I have a much bigger cabin ie the Penthouse ,with only 1 person in it ,was thinking of paying for her to be moved to mine ,would I do it now or wait till boarding ?

    Cheers Deb

  10. Hi Everyone ,

As this is my first cruise on a Celebrity cruises , I normally just buy one or two pictures .But haven't heard of a photo package before.

Can someone explain the 'Photo Package' , how does it work ,is it good value .I am in the Penthouse for the first time ,I am wondering would they take a really good pic of the suite,(if I asked really nicely?) This will the first cruise for all my family so want lots of memories.

    Cheers Deb

  11. It's like everything else. I get by with extension cords and power strips. 4 bottles of champagne once...others have items confiscated. Who knows what the trigger is to pull or pass luggage with contraband in it.

Hi cle-guy, Just wondering how you wrapped 4 bottles on Champagne ? Not that I would do that :)... I would be worried that they would throw my bag a break the bottles, I would have a lot of washing to do ,if that happened . maybe I could ask my butler about quick washing ...

    Cheers Deb

  12. Angelwingsflys.....I found it on their web site. Attached, scroll down to bottom of page under 'Asia' heading. It confirms that the visas for Vietnam and Cambodia ARE organised onboard, with the small amount being debited to your onboard ship account. For a backup, apart from ringing them, do a search within this section for visa to vietnam. Plenty of confirmation here. Also, by memory, it is somewhere within your cruise personaliser.

    Feel better???

    Hi bobhsv,

Yes! I feel much better ,thank you so much ,was starting to worry that this cruise was starting to get out of hand ,money wise.

    Once again THANK YOU :D

    Cheers Deb

  13. This is the same deal as with our Celebrity cruise via Vietnam in March this year. You are required to have two passport photos to go with this visa. The ship arranges it all. Passports are collected on a sea day before arrival. On the first day in Vietnam, officials will board the ship and go through all these passports and give the ok for the visas. The $10 one is for those returning back to the ship the same day. The more expensive one is for those that are doing an overnighter away from the ship. For those that are staying overnight ashore, the actual visas are given to you.....you have to line up in the morning to get them, after the officials have done their check. Most of us took two passport pics from home, as the ship charges more for taking the pics. Suggest you def have photocopy of passport in your wallet/purse when going ashore.

All passports are given back just before end of cruise.

Hope this helps assure you that the practice is normal for Vietnam...and cheap:)

Hi, We inquired at the local travel agent last week, who told us it would cost 140 PLUS another 100 for them to process it, total 240 EACH they .said we needed to have it as we were going to be stopping at 2 different Vietnam ports in 2 days on the Celebrity Century! I wonder if we can stay on the ship for 1 of those days ? Think I had better check this out further.

    Cheers Deb

  14. Hi timbom,

We seem to pay a lot more for this cruise from Australia ,we have booked 4 cabins with friends and family members , one couple in the inside was $1899 for the both of them the others have a mixture of different cabins and only wish we could have paid the cheaper pricing on all of those cabins .

There seems to be a lot cabins still left on this cruise ,apart from the Penthouses and the Royals suites .

Don't forget to come over to the roll call for this cruise ,we are already organizing a few things ie cabin crawl ,we haven't had many join us yet but it is only early days yet . so far only Aussies and a few from England .

    Cheers Deb
