  1. Not really because of Luminosa, but more cabins than passengers overall. Westerdam was also a late inclusion here, as she was originally meant to be cruising in Asia. One extra Dam ship is one too many for HAL this season.
  2. Sort of. When you first back out from the terminal, it is 15 minutes till you will start to go forward. For that part, the views are better if you are on the other side and aft. When the ship starts cruising forward, swap sides.
  3. Yes, they didn't change a lot of the décor, which seemed to be gaudy enough already.
  4. Not really. It would just make it tax payer subsidised, but no more convenient.
  5. No. Not enough patronage for Captain Cook cruises to resume the service.
  6. I guess it isn't possible to split the fare types if booking online, but nice to know it is possible via T/A. I should try booking me on the Plus and Barb without. That will go down well 🤣
  7. Correct, and when purchased away from the fare, the drink package doesn't include internet.
  8. We got one on Coral in August, but not in October. The only ones we sighted on Majestic were carrying cabin steward supplies.
  9. James Craig Rd is correct (then Solomans Way, Port Access Rd, Robert St. The security gate at Ruchanan/Robert Sts in Ultimo is closed for cruise access.
  10. Vila Hospital would be last resort. It is barely a polyclinic by our standards.
  11. Pacific Adventure has called at Mystery Island within the past week, so maybe someone broke the pot. A Mystery indeed!!
  12. Yep, inconsistency at its' best, and may depend on what FAQ the help desk bunnies are reading from. Yes, inform them if they require it, but they have no caps for unvaxxed under 12 ATM.
  13. As for the kids included in the 95%, that would be inconsistent with the health advice, and I think it was sort of a government incentive to say "jab your kids and you can cruise". As for the other bureaucracy, there is an element of common sense in most of it.
  14. It may be both, depending on the state. When cruising resumed in May, the 95% rule applied to both children under 12 and to medically exempt adults. Sometime at around early October, NSW dropped that requirement for children under 12, but I can't be sure for the other states. The second of those 2 FAQ's is certainly true for Sydney departures. I think it is highly likely that Princess hasn't properly updated the first of those FAQs, but best confirmed with them.
  15. If you have symptoms, you can take your own RAT or contact the medical centre, and the result will determine what happens from there. If negative, the medical centre may require a follow-up test the next day to be sure. The only time you will be required to do a test without symptoms is if the ship has elevated levels of covid aboard, and the next port may require everyone aboard to take a RAT.
  16. No, we didn't have hand lotion. We don't use it, so didn't seek any out either.
  17. - As mentioned, a combined shampoo & conditioner, and a shower gel in the shower. Also a liquid hand wash dispenser at the basin. I thought the shampoo was acceptable, but my wife thought it was ordinary, so she used up some hotel mini bottles in our travel kit. - Yes, clothes line running inside the curtain of shower/tub - No kettle. You can order coffee and tea from room service. As a general rule, Princess only have kettles available in cabin on UK based cruises. - We scored a mini travel tote, which includes cotton tips and pads, a razor and tube of shave cream, and 2 toothbrushes. First time we have had one of those on Princess in a mini or otherwise.
  18. You do need to change trains at Central today. Trackwork on City Circle has trains running in one direction only. That requires a swap at Central, but only to walk to the other side of the platform.
  19. I hope it is sorted quickly for you. Enjoy your cruise.
