  1. Wow, I thought Carnival gifts cards could only be bought direct from Carnival? Does anyone know where else we can buy them from?

Sent from my iPad using Forums

I get mine from either my Citibank Credit Card or Verizon Wireless rewards sites. I can exchange points for 10% off. I completely paid for the cruise with GC's and have enough to add to my OBC to cover Cheers. I basically saved 10% on the entire cost of this cruise.

  2. Anytime dining is the best no matter what.

If you are feeling tired and unsociable you can have a table for two.

If you want some table mates you can ask to share and meet new friends.

    Yup...to expand.

Sleep in a little from a late night...late breakfast....late lunch....then go to dinner later when you are actually hungry.

Up early on a port day....early breakfast....early lunch....then go to dinner early when you are actually hungry.

Make your own schedule instead of trying to make yours fit theirs.

  3. New rules say you have to carry it on, a case of water fits nicely in a duffel bag. I just strap it to the top of my rolling carry on suitcase. Though I have put it in the same duffel bag with a luggage tag and had it delivered just like always even since the change. I will probably chance it again next time. I don't think they will confiscate it, worst case you may have to go pick it up.

  4. We never have any significant wait even looking for a 2 top. The first rush is the busiest and it tapers off from there. We usually ended up going around 7 on our last two cruises and were seated immediately most times, sometimes we waited 10 minutes.

I do wish they would model the RCCL system. You can pick your time and make reservations which limits any potential wait. They have screens you can view from your room and from various places around the ship which shows how busy the dining room is projected to be broken down in 15 minute increments. It takes the guess work out of it. You can make a reservation and know you will be seated immediately or know if you show up at a busy time you may have to wait.
