Yup...check with your provider on the cell phone. Text messages many times are not too bad for an occasional check-in, my carrier was $.50ea, but data will be really expensive. I am interested in the new wi-fi rates myself but I haven't found a solid answer.

LOL...fried fish is greasy? Great...exactly what I expected.
-
I check them myself. No way I would trust a TA to do it on a completed reservation.
-
I am pretty sure it isn't available until the ship sails.
-
OV to a suite...play the lottery...you have better odds.

Sometimes you don't find out to check-in.

On every thread on this subject people keep bringing up a tax. There is not a tax on the cheers program. In most ports they charge sales tax on the ship until you reach international waters. So, each drink you purchase has a tax on it. This applies to everyone, not cheers program specific. On the cheers program, you have already paid for your drinks, so you are only charged the tax. If not on the cheers program, you are charged, the drink price, the 15% tip and the sales tax.
Yup....I think tax was about $.40 per drink to we hit open water. They do not charge it on the entire amount.

Well...used 717 parking and figured I would share my experience since there isn't much out there. The price was $2.99 per day which was unbeatable. The lot is open but is highly visible directly across from the Amtrack station.
We did use the shuttle but I found the service to be a little slow, we waited about 30 minutes each time. The lot is only about a mile from the port so you could take a taxi if needed.

I am really interested in 717 Parking. Their advertised rate is $2.99 per day which is unbelievable. They seem to be a fairly large company working in the city who is just getting into the cruise parking with a shuttle service.
Anyone know anything about them?

When you stay at an AI, you can come and go at your leisure 24/7, whereas while cruising on a sea day...you are trapped with nowhere to go.
....but I enjoy that welcome relaxation between ports.

Do you know if the frozen "drinks of the day" are part of the program?
Yes...it will just not be served in the plastic souvenir cup.

Do you know if the frozen "drinks of the day" are part of the program?
Soda's are unlimited. As with the old unlimited soda sticker, they do not even swipe your S&S card.

I would take the cruise, one of the top reasons is I am effortlessly delivered to 3 or 4 wonderful destinations throughout the trip. On an all inclusive I sometimes feel trapped on the resort.
-
Anyone else tried 717? I was looking at them today and the price is still $2.99 per day. That is such a great deal.

I have never bought any travel insurance in the past. This trip I did buy single trip medical which includes accidental death, medical, dental, medical transportation and trip interruption coverage. I never checked to find how affordable it was, $15 for the two of us was a no brainer.

I love the cabin and it is a super value but the first time I heard the anchor I really thought it was all over. I just remember waking up to my wife saying "Holy S%*@".
-
Ehhh....depends on your finances and how much disposable income you are willing to burn. It the same cruise no matter what cabin you are in. I would rather take a back to back cruise before I would spend that amount on an upgrade.
-
I have always presented ours with everything else but we also cruise on birth certificates. I don't know if it was required though.

As above....that is what airplane mode is designed for. It turns off all the external antennas so you can still use the other features of the phone.
