  1. That just reminded me: Many years ago, back when there were formal nights and Michael’s Club was an Elites-only venue from 5-7, I was on a cruise to Bermuda. Two men bought the complete Bermuda formalwear, including the long socks, while we were in Bermuda. After much thought by the Captain’s Club host, with many apologies and explanations, they were not allowed into Michael’s club. They graciously moved on and had their pre-dinner cocktails elsewhere. The next night, I found out that they and their wives had been served dinner on their verandas, so no need to worry about getting into the MDR in Bermuda shorts.
  2. This is the email in question, for any who might not have received it
  3. The truth is that shorts are not allowed, jeans are. We can’t really be more helpful than that.
  4. Yes I would recommend that class of stateroom mostly because it has proper blackout curtains.
  5. It’s a little soon to say that they have eliminated the PowerUp points. They are still referenced on the website. So there is hope for an opportunity to earn them will return.
  6. Interesting….what kind of adjustment?
  7. Once the booking is made, the Future Cruise staff have no way to cancel it, alter it or add anything to it.
  8. Apparently not yet but things change quickly. When are you sailing?
  9. Well they are small but they are regular verandahs, separated from the room by sliding glass doors, blackout curtains not a rolling shade.
  10. I hope everything is all right. I will update my list although I’m sure that the old list will be hanging around for a while as people quote it.
  11. That works on some ships but not all of them!
  12. But you won’t be in the dining room, you’ll be in Blu. You’ll see the difference when you are there.
  13. I don’t think that is correct. I have used OBC for booking shore excursions pre-cruise.
  14. Are you quite sure that the envelope contained tips and not just thank-you notes?
  15. The Cruise Director is also an Officer. Tipping Officers is somewhat of a faux pas.
  16. Maybe, but since they haven’t so far, children are expected to abide by the dress code, as well as other standards of behavior on the ship.
  17. Perhaps you have misread the instructions? Maybe the shorts can still be exchanged for pants which meet the dress code, or the boys can eat in the buffet?
  18. They are the same size. There are a couple of extra features that come with the concierge room like a bottle of rather inexpensive bubbly wine, a dining room lunch on embarkation day (as opposed to the Buffet), and extra Captains Club points. Most people think it is not worth the up charge for concierge on the S class ships, which Reflection is.
  19. Yes they can make them up separately or together. You put the request through when you book, but if the message doesn’t happen to get through to your steward and the beds are made up incorrectly they will quickly correct it for you.
  20. What, you don’t like the award-winning website? Unfortunately, this was the award
  21. Seems to me that’s the sister’s decision….
  22. That was a penthouse suite. the OP is in a sky suite. Different experiences for the different level of suites.
  23. As I recall, this was not available for passengers in the sky suites, only for those in the upper suites and on a space available basis
