What strikes me tonight is how quickly the staff pivots when something like our weather delay happens. The shore excursion staff came up with a couple of options for tomorrow, spent most of today canceling and rebooking, Copenhagen excursions, and patiently explained over and over that there is nothing that we can do, when the port Authority says it isn’t safe to sail. Surely everyone in their lifetime has had a picnic rained out, but some people act as if the weather is somehow Celebrity’s to control and/or if Captain Matt really wanted to he could do something about it.😳😳😳

I believe these guests are such high dollar purchasers that they are getting their cruises for free

Captain Matt just announced that there is a forecast of bad weather and we will not be able to leave Stockholm as scheduled this afternoon but instead will stay until tomorrow. That will mean that we will have only one day in Copenhagen instead of two. I expect a lot of people will be unhappy because they had two days worth of Copenhagen shore excursions booked, but there is nothing you can do when the port Authority say that it will be unsafe to sail through the Stockholm archipelago.

No card room on Silhouette. It was wiped out and staterooms added in its place.

Yes, you can book a royal cruise while on a celebrity ship. Know as you go into it which ship and stateroom category you are interested in because the sales staff in the future cruise office isn’t as familiar with Royal ships as they are with Celebrity ships and can’t give you much advice but they can easily handle your booking

On Closed loop Caribbean cruises. I have seen the time NOT change in Belize. I have also seen it NOT change in Dominican Republic. But not every Cruise. It’s the captain’s call—- sometimes they do it sometimes they don’t.

They should match his account to yours but it might take a phone call or two to accomplish that

this is true on SOME lines but not generally on Celebrity. Celebrity ALMOST ALWAYS changes so that ship time and port time match.

I have not been on ascent, but the general rule of thumb for all Celebrity ships is that walk-off starts around 7 AM and they begin calling numbers for luggage shortly thereafter which could be as early as 7:15. Last cruise the first number was called just before 7:30

On some ships, at 12 o’clock, there are small sandwiches in the case at Café al Bacio. More of a snack than a lunch, but it will tide you over until dinner.

The new CEO did reference the program not too long ago so she is aware of it and I look on that as a good thing.
