  1. Have you looked at your booking on the Celebrity website? It’s all spelled out there
  2. They probably don’t have any in stock but if you tell us which ship you will be on it would help. silhouette and summit have none in stock
  3. S class ships — be sure to look at the structure above the bed….extra storage space there
  4. Here’s another Celebrity specific tip. I don’t know if other cruise lines use the aluminum bottles that are so hard to twist open. Hit them sharply upside down on the floor and it will loosen the cap so you can twist it more easily
  5. Because this gets asked so often I've compiled a list of things to spend OBC on. The only thing I know of now that you CAN'T buy with OBC is a deposit on a Future Cruise. You need a credit card for that. Also, there may be some card game in the casino with a cash only buy-in. If they do a fundraiser, like selling t-shirts to “save the reefs” and the like, expect to need cash for that. Otherwise, here you go: *Acupuncture *Airport transfers *Alcove Rental (some ships) *Apple products etc. and Ilounge classes *Art Auction Purchases *Babysitting *Barber Shop services *Behind the Scenes Tours *Beverages -- Alcoholic, carbonated soft drinks, specialty coffees and teas, bottled water — if not in your package, also beverages above your package limits *Bingo and Deal or No Deal *Bottles of wine *Casino *Chef’s Table *Corkage charged if you bring your own bottles of wine to the MDR *Duty free liquor and cigarettes *Extra cost entrees and other items in Main Dining Room and specialty restaurants *Extend Your Stay program *Fitness classes *Flowers *Gelato *Gift shop souvenirs, purses, watches, cosmetics, clothing, jewelry, etc. *Gratuities, and extra gratuities *Guests dining with you in Luminae (applies to Suite Passengers only) *Guest entertainers' CD's and DVD's *Hair and nail salon *Hollywood hot glass experiences (some ships) *Internet if not in your package, also Internet upcharges *Laundry/pressing/drycleaning *Liquor Tasting events *Luggage Valet *Martini Flights *Medical Center *Mini bar *Portrait photo sessions *Pay-per-view movies *Persian Gardens passes *Personal Training Sessions *Photos & cameras *Room service up charge items, and late night delivery fee *Ryde spinning classes *Shore Excursions *Shuttle to town (some ports) *Spa -- massages and treatments *Specialty restaurants *Teeth Whitening *Telephone calls using ship's system *Transfer to another passenger's account *Voyage in Review DVD *Wine and liquor tastings *Zumba
  6. Another one some ships change to local time, some don’t, so read the Daily Program carefully
  7. I’ll play Shoes are required in the OceanView Cafe Don’t leave room service trays in the passageways because it’s hard to move scooters and housekeeping buggies past them if you find a duck don’t take it to lost and found. Either keep it or hide it somewhere else
  8. Weather has been great except for some showers in St. Maarten. They keep the air conditioning on throughout the ship so you might want to bring a sweater.
  9. Tuscan — easy to fill up on bread and the charcuterie plate. Steaks there have all been good. Spumoni donuts are a great, if filling dessert lawn Club Grill — my favorite. Steaks, kebabs, and flatbreads are delicious. Don’t miss the warm cookie dessert
  10. I will guess that there are fewer than 20 children. Cruise Criticsuggest you start there
  11. Saw a rather drunk man last night who was letting everyone know by means of the t shirt he was wearing on which he had scribbled “Celebrity sucks” that he was having a miserable time. He had put out over $500 to buy a ticket home so he could disembark today from St. Maarten. Why? Because he was denied entry to the MDR because he was wearing shorts. he knew before he boarded what the policy was but he somehow thought that an exception would be made for him and when it wasn’t he got obnoxious. no sympathy here. He was willing to buy a t shirt on which to scribble his message but not to buy a pair of long pants. safe journey home, sir
  12. Celebrity has not gone to 100% “always included”. It is an option but not required. onboard credit can definitely be used for alcohol purchases.
  13. The awful music in Tuscan drove me out once again this morning. It is so frustrating that they just don’t care. I will try another complaint today but I don’t hold out much hope for improvement. The music next door in Blu that I hear when I walk past is fine. So why make such awful choices for Tuscan?
  14. Cafe al Bacio is where you will find the best coffee drinks. It’s opening hours vary so check your daily program.
  15. The Captains Club concierge and the other concierges (it’s a team now) handle all that and do it well. They will arrange for priority disembarkation too
  16. The Tui ship Mein Schiff 2, former Mercury was docked next to us today and as we left the pier darkness had already fallen. Dozens of their passengers were on the verandahs and on deck waving their cell phones. I assume our passengers were doing the same.
  17. Two beefs… it’s chilly in cellar masters and Cafe al Bacio the music playing in Tuscan Grille at breakfast is awful. I would linger over a second cup of coffee but it is so harsh and unpleasant I can’t stand it
  18. You never know where people might hide a duck. Never in a shop, though.
  19. I can’t help because I don’t do tours in the Caribbean. If I get off I just walk around the town a bit for exercise.
  20. as far as I can remember Celebrity has never had shrimp cocktail on any steakhouse menu
  21. Yes but only a few which is surprising because there are at least six different people hiding them.
  22. The cruise is going great. I am very much enjoying all the live music on board. Be sure to watch for casino happy hours. Sometimes they specify that they are giving out five dollars per person and sometimes they just call it a happy hour, but then they are putting out five dollars credit on your card. It’s not clear in the daily so ask every day
