  1. Our family group ate at Tuscan last night. The sales tax would have been about $15 for the whole group. We didn’t fret about it, but we certainly made sure that they didn’t run the ticket until we had departed Juneau.
  2. The credit will appear on the next statement after you apply for it. It does not have to be at the time of booking. You can redeem points for either on board credit or a reduction in the fair, which is an essence just a credit on your VISA account.
  3. Yes. Book that cruise, redeem your points, and they will apply a credit on your credit card.

  5. I had been told that information about carpeted vs non carpeted floor coverings many times but we had the buffet in the MDR on Constellation in February out of Tampa as seen in the photo above In post #14.
  6. I’m not sure I understand all the ins and outs of it. I can tell you that there was no announcement regarding sales tax in Icy Strait Point but there was today in Juneau. with the beverage package today, no tax was charged. But if you didn’t have a beverage package sales tax was attached to your purchase today in Juneau. We went to a specialty restaurant tonight and made sure that we delayed getting the check until we had departed Juneau to avoid the sales tax. I spoke to some people who were back to back and they said that last week, they were charged sales tax in a specialty restaurant because the meal was over and they were still in port.
  7. Yes. Pastry, fruit, sliced meat, sliced cheese, sliced salmon, cream cheese, onion, capers, juices, smoothies, cappuccino, tea, mimosas , screwdrivers, Bloody Mary’s no hot food
  8. Yes you would probably have wait until they open the doors
  9. I have had several beverages at Café Al Bacio today, all included in my drinks package, and no sales tax has been rung up. The cost shows as $0.00 on my account.
  10. Connie, February 2024 Mardi Gras cruise, Elite breakfast in MDR
  11. Both the buffet and the menu formats are used. While there are exceptions, the general rule is that when sailing in the US, the menu format is used. When sailing in other locations around the world, there is some magic cut off below, witch menus are used, and above which the buffet is laid out.
  12. This got me to thinking, and I checked our reservations for tonight for Tuscan, and found that it is subject to the sales tax. However, they can delay running the ticket until we have left Juneau. It’s a good thing this was mentioned or that would have been a pricey surprise!!!!
  13. Depends on the numbers. b2B on Solstice this month and the lunch was available on turnaround day as there were just a handful of consecutive cruisers. But on silhouette in May on the transatlantic, there were 400 consecutive and they were not invited to the concierge lunch on the turnaround day.
  14. This is current for Celebrity Solstice June 2024
  15. I don’t think gray is a luxurious color for decor. Especially at Christmas. I think it looks institutional and cold
  16. I just checked the dates and my photographs were not from Connie in February. They were from a recent Panama Canal transit on Millennium — so many Elites that the breakfast was moved to the MDR. I thought I had photos from the TA too and will keep hunting for them.
  17. That has happened on S class ships but not Constellation
  18. I don’t have a photo from the transatlantic, but here are 2 photos from constellation’s recent cruise in February 2024, over Mardi Gras,. Breakfast was moved to the buffet style in a portion of the main dining room. I was on back to back and for the second cruise the breakfast remained in a portion of the main dining room, but went back to menu style
