  1. Checking cc statement from Celebrity charges is showing $131 for Murano versus app $120 and $119 for Tuscan versus app $110. Looks like slight price increase?
  2. Very good, thank you both. I just bookmarked my cruise. The final payment is late February. So far my category went up few hundred dollars.
  3. Ok, thanks. I will check the price few days before the final payment date then.
  4. If before the final payment and price dropped, will Celebrity adjust automatically or do you have to call? I hope they adjust automatically.
  5. I think it would be greener on Azamara, Viking, Crystal etc. Our last cruise was with Azamara and saw differences easily. But, we have not cruised in almost 9 years mostly spending a month in Japan annually instead but wanted to see some areas of Scandinavia and Celebrity offered the best ports for us in late spring-late summer timeframe. This may be our last cruise with Celebrity if we are not satisfied. We are hoping for the best though.
  6. I’m with you on that. Not interested in any Caribbean cruises due to what you mentioned. They are cheaper and I have to think cruise lines adjust food choices, etc based on that and length of cruises. When we were still in our 30’s to early 40’s and working, we were ok with it but not now.
  7. Thank you. Will bring wine in our regular luggage. Carryon is always light with us. We don’t mind going to dinner in the same clothes since we are spending 3 nights in Amsterdam hotel pre-boarding.
  8. Are moveup offers accepted based on current cabin location? If someone is booked inside versus higher concierge class vying for moveup offers in one of the suites, which one typically gets accepted if concierge bids $300 versus inside at $500?
  9. Where can I see this written out in our cruise contract stating wines must be carried in or they will be confiscated? We never carry wines in our carryons since we bring very light carryon. The bottles are always in our luggage.
  10. Not $125 pp in Murano? I just assumed it was per person. If $65 pp, then that seems very reasonable price.
  11. My husband and I renewed in November. It was renewed within few days for us. Very surprised how quick it went.
  12. We live not too far from Wine Country and belong to several wine clubs. The wines I purchase from wineries or through wine clubs are in the range of $15-$150. For daily drinking, usually under $15 from wine clubs. I also receive very hard to come by and more costly wines on occasions from our friend who lives in Sonoma. He is very much into wines and those bottles I receive as gifts are stored for special occasions. I plan to bring those wines on my cruise in May. I read the wine list on Celebrity and though I am ok with it, I prefer better wines like the wines I am bringing because cruising is special occasion for me. Two bottles last maybe 5 days during dinner for our 13 night cruise and I will purchase wines or drinks other times. We are perfectly ok with it. We have not made the decision on purchasing beverage package because my husband only drinks beers and we think it makes no sense to purchase premium package for us. We did drink much more when we first started cruising 34 years ago, but at our age, much less so.
  13. It appears that all the sides are carbs. Only vegetable available is available with their salad bar? Are any specialty dining areas open for lunch? I only see dinner times with the app. And, I wonder why people are reporting not full tables when app is showing no available seating for some? Is this by design to keep it smaller due to lack of staff, ingredients, etc? Seems odd.
  14. 😋 awesome looking carpaccio. And both places! Not much difference at all and it looks like same paper thin cut of beef. Tuscan with aioli or mayo and MDR with some kind of mustard/horseradish sauce. I will be happy with either one. I made reservations for both Murano and Tuscan already and will wait to see how others look. But, your review of Sushi on Five looks good too. We visit Japan once a year for 4 weeks now and my husband loves sashimi. Very reassuring info - thanks again. We will check out the mast grill too for burgers at least once or twice a cruise for lunch. Did they serve any Mexican food there too? I recall having something like that on one of our previous cruises. I will tell my husband about perhaps requesting liver for himself as I don’t cook liver either. 😊 Not sure how we racked up the points to reach elite status with Celebrity but will use some of the benefits on this cruise.
  15. Thank you. So glad to see this as I have been worried about dining on Silhouette after reading some previous reviews and comments. We are doing port intensive Scandinavia in May and it has been 9 years since cruising. For us it was destination area which determined our choice to return to Celebrity again.
  16. Do we need to let the ordering servers know during 5-7PM cocktail hours that we are elite (gosh, I hate that word) members for free drinks? It has been a long time since we last cruised esp Celebrity.
  17. We are also going to do without package. We checked what they offered. My husband drinks only beer and although I have few glasses of wine daily, my taste tends toward mid priced light white wines and pinot noir that I can purchase for under $11 with my local wine club. It will just be me drinking wine so 1 bottle will last 2 1/2 to 3 nights during evening dinner. I also plan on bringing two bottles on board too.
