Why would you have your cases out during a storm?

In the picture from the DM, why are there 2 suitcases in the room?

That’s a pity - if we got credit for using our own flights we would consider doing this as we usually arrive a few days pre-embarkation. We have loads of air-miles! If P & O did a cruise only deal maybe it would ease the pressure on the charter flights.

Now, there’s an idea 😉!

We received the email for 2025 on Tuesday and had a call from Saga this morning.

I was called to the naughty room in the bowels of the ship on a Celebrity cruise - I had a travel iron 😳! In my defence - we were going on a land tour after the cruise. It was confiscated and I collected it at the gangway at the end of the cruise. Fannny-Liz - We use travel padlocks marked TSA which can be opened by security in the USA - yes, that’s happened to me as well! They leave a nice little note inside your case to say they’ve had a look! You’ll have a great time,

We arrived at about 1 pm at Southampton and our driver went straight off to pick up 2 more passengers before returning to Leicestershire.

Same time for us in Leicestershire.

Do you have air-miles? If not, the price of a one way ticket will be ridiculously expensive, not far off the price of a return!

Last year on Caribbean Princess there was a 90 minute wait for the ferry both ways. Taxi for us next time to lower Manhattan.

How disappointing. What was the original itinerary and what is the new one?

Also, on our first Princess cruise we received a glossy brochure detailing the tours.

On Caribbean Princess for 15 days last year we were a party of 4 in Club (Reserve). As most tables were set for 2 we seemed a challenge to the maitre d’. On 3 or 4 occasions we were asked to wait in the nearest bar and he fetched us when a table was free - 10 minutes at the most. We were ok with this. I think it was made more challenging for the staff as there was a large table permanently set for a family of 9. I will add that this was very rarely used by the whole group - just 4 or 6, or none, on most evenings. They did all appear on one formal night with the men in shorts and baseball caps - for which I make no comment! suzyed - I’m sure you’ll enjoy Reserve, we certainly do.

Oceania is not adult only and I don’t think Silversea is.

Yes, I can see it for our cruise 150 standard cabins, 27 deluxe, etc and the available cabin numbers.

Just looked at our cruise for Dec 2024 and it shows the cabins available for 2 to share but nothing for solo passengers (maybe nothing available). I care - I like to see what’s available and location 😀!

In Belfast this year - the taxis are inexpensive. It was much cheaper to take a taxi, rather than the shuttle, from the port into the city centre - our driver going into Belfast gave us a number to call for a taxi back to the ship. The return journey was even cheaper as it was a set price from the port into the city, but on the meter going back! The queue for the shuttle into Belfast was huge, but no queue for a taxi.

Excellent! Can’t wait for our first Regent experience in November 😀.
