  1. Thanks everyone. I will just wear my mask and shield wash hands use sanitiser etc use stairs try to avoid busy areas (impossible I know) The thing that makes it hard masks are not mandatory now. People will think I am stupid with mask etc and face shield but I don't care.Csn only do my best . I don't fancy being locked in cabin for 5 or so days. Thanks Zanny
  2. Hi. Does any one know to get the wi fi internet on the ship Do you need to have international roaming on your phone as we only have prepaid with telstra and that doesn't include international roaming. As we don't want to purchase wii fi and not be able to use it or have another bill on top by telstra Any help would be appreciated Thanks Zanny
  3. Hi Anjo Haven't sailed p&0 for 7 years. The 5 ships I n Sydney harbour. About 5 years ago became elite on Princess how ever Haven't been on there since so haven't been able to get any benefits from that yet. I will see what this ship brings. I believe they are all much the same every ship has good or bad points.Any cruise is a good cruise imo Regards Zanny
  4. Hi Just wondering how we could try and avoid getting covid on a 14night cruise. I believe the longer the cruise more chances are of getting it. I wear my mask every where and also a face shield. Both my husband and my self haven't caught it yet. He is a smoker and will be sitting out on the deck at the tables with other smokers I think he has more chance than myself of catching it even though it's outside. Has anyone been on longer cruises with covid on and came back healthy and not testing positive after getting off. Would be interested to hear . Regards Zanny
  5. Hi Anjo. When is your Cruise? We are going on March 13th and are in cabin 8208 which is next to one of your cabins I can let you know how it goes but that won't be until the end of March as we are on a 14night cruise. I believe we could hear the bell of the lifts when they arrive on the floor. Thanks Zanny
  6. Thanks all. We have just rang P&O and got a new cabin on 8 deck a better position that suits us Thanks Zanny
  7. Hi Thoughts on just been upgraded so they call it on Pacific Explorer from Deck 6 to deck 10. But problem is cabin 10001 is at very front if ship and my husband is prone to sea sickness. What can we do. He has sent email but not sure if they read them. It never stated no reply. Wanting any thoughts or has anyone had this cabin before Thanks
  8. Thanks .it will be interesting surely all these covid related rules will finish soon.I am certainly not against them but wonder how long this eill continue. I do wear a mask and face shield whenever I go out in public and will also d o same thing on the ship
  9. Hi.Was just wondering what your thoughts are. P&O have a part on their Web sites named Covid assurance policy. That says it'in place until end of Feb. Saying if you test positive etc on cruise you will get covid medical etc free.and also a future credit etc for days spent in isolation. Do you feel that this will stop and you will have to claim all this on travel insurance? Or do you think they will extend it.Our cruise is in mid March Thanks Zanny
  10. Hi Gbenjo. Just looking thru the posts talking about coke lol I can assure you there is no hidden message in my post about coke or Pepsi on Pacific Explorer My husband would not drink his bourbon with Pepsi Regards Zanny
  11. Hi. From what I can find I believe there is only Pepsi cool drinks on available on board. Is this correct? As husband has bourbon and coke. Hoping someone might know who has recently been onboard. Thanks Zanny
  12. Hi Was just wondering if any one has a current drink menu and prices for P&O Pacific Explorer as we probably prefer to pay for each drink as we go. Thanks Zanny
  13. Hi again Sinbad The Porter. How did you find the ship ? I have been on the ship when it was Dawn Princess. Haven't been on P&O since 2015 when their 5 ships were in Sydney harbour.Did you find you had lots of expenses for additional snacks etc.? Have become elite on Princess about 5 years ago but haven't sailed being elite as yet.I just thought that the Explorer price and sailing from Adelaide seemed like a bonus if it's okay on-board Thanks Zanny
  14. Thanks Sinbad The Porter well you never caught covid etc on the cruise or after you returned.? Seems that all the rules were pretty laxed. Before covid we often had inside never problem but if you had to isolate for days might go crazy. I think the price of balconies on all ships is sky high compared to before Thanks Zanny
  15. Hi. Was wondering your thoughts on booking a 14 night cruise from my hometown Adelaide and return.in these times of still having covid around..We haven't had covid and are fully vaxed and when I go our to shops etc still wear a mask and face shield. Hoping someone has advise who has been on this ship in inside cabin since cruising began.
  16. Hi Fletch.Did you mean looking to book a cruise in 2024?
  17. Thank you everyone for your information. I am still not sure if I want to cruise at all in the near future while all this covid is with us although I know it will be around for a long time. I haven't had it but do wear a mask and faceshield every time I go out in public.
  18. Hi I renewed mine in Sept. thinking it could take months only took 35 days was really impressed.
  19. Hi I was wondering what happens if you get covid on a cruise and isolate if you are a smoker husband smokes and I can't see him not being able to smoke fir the 5 days while in iso.Hoping someone has had this situation come up. Thanks
