If you have the HIA package, ask for a double when you order your wine at dinner. No worries then if your server doesn’t come back frequently. 

On our recent 22 day Koningsdam cruise we received two entertainment guides. April 5th to 16th and 17th to 26th. Each guide had information about the World Stage, Enrichment Talks, Music Clubs, Special Events and Guest Lecturers. Also let you know if it was a dressy or casual night. We thought they were well laid out and informative.

Curious if this is fleet wide. Yes, it would be helpful if I could attach a photo but techie impared. 🤷‍♀️

We always book fixed main dining and are delighted that it is now at 7:30pm.  The 6pm show also worked perfectly for us. After dinner we listened to music offered in the different venues.

We have two excursions in Istanbul and are wondering about the most acceptable currency for tipping. We will also have to pay for a tram, drinks and food. CC or cash?

My dh did a couple of tastings at Notes last fall on the Rotterdam. He enjoyed them both. He will happily do them again when available.

Isn’t the $50 per day that you can add onboard just the beverage package not the full HIA?

You can have the educator’s obc as well as the shareholder’s obc

HAL honoured the per diem rate for a 22 day cruise when we rebooked and added the $100 pp OBC

This would be a cancellation before the cruise starts.

How are you reimbursed for an insurance claim? If you cancel a shore excursion, the payment is refunded to the cc used.

With an insurance claim it isn’t HAL refunding the money but a third party, correct?

We really don’t want a huge amount refunded to a cc.

Any information and advice would be appreciated.

16 day cruise on Zaandam in January. HIA with gratuities included. We never came close to the daily drink limit. We were credited with 16 sea days and 16 bonus days at the end of the cruise.

@laura1960 Thank you for your review. We are looking forward to our Noordam cruise in March. Although we have been on her sister ships, it will be our first cruise on her. Our stateroom is very near yours so happy to hear it’s a good location.  

Our upcoming cruise, Auckland to Vancouver, is a 39 day Collector’s Voyage. A similar cruise of 36 days next year is called a Grand Voyage. Is it just marketing?

Some staterooms have the wonderful new showers. We have one booked for 2024
