Good answer. I have hired employees who had vacations, family matters, etc. scheduled before they applied and I always honored them. People have lives in addition to jobs. If they don't let you take your pre-planned vacation you might not enjoy working there. 🤷‍♂️

When it first came out it sucked. We used it last month on Mardi Gras and it worked very well. Apparently they have improved it's reliability over time.

36 Carnival cruises on 20 different ships ( 7 of which are no longer in service). Every single cruise starts with a Funship, without exception! At least one soft serve cone gets consumed every day. We play blackjack on every cruise. Won the tournament once and DW and I each finished 2nd place once. Sure wish they'd bring the tournaments back. Sailed on one of the very last cruises prior to Covid hitting, and one of the very first one's after the restart. Cruising with a mask on SUCKED!! Spirit Class is our favorite. Love the water slides, but don't partake every cruise. Have ridden BOLT twice! Super fun, but a very short ride. Almost always eat dinner in the MDR or specialty restaurant. Had Lido buffet for dinner just a handful of times. (Too tired or too drunk to get dressed for the MDR 🤣)

Layers is great advice. We were in Juneau in June one year and it was 85 degrees. People were in shorts and bathing suits. Two days later we were in Ketchikan and it was about 65 degrees and raining. The locals did say that 85 in June was highly unusual...but you never know.

Those were the days! Used to love that late-night Mexican buffet on the lido. Now its hard to find a snack after 11:00pm. I also no longer close down the casino at 3-4am like the old days. I'm lucky to be up past midnight.

That's what I was thinking. A white russian should be stirred, not shaken. Looks like they shook the hell out of it!

Tablecloths in the MDR and mints on my pillow every night🤣

100% nailed it!!! It is the decline of the American family and discipline, etc. I see it everywhere, not just cruise ships....but don't get me started either!😡

Spent half of last week in this pool. Definitely ladders, not stairs to get into the pool itself. THe steps only get you into about 3-4" of water!

We got off the Mardi Gras this morning. It was the slowest, most painful debarkation of my 36 Carnival cruises. Make sure you try the bolt. It is awesome. So is the ropes course where you zipline over the ocean. We are 57 and 55 so old people can survive it! 😜 My cocktail recommendation is the "Lime in the Coconut" from the Fortune Teller Bar. It is like a slice of key lime pie in a glass! Our favorite bar staff were at the Pig and Anchor. It was hardly ever crowded and the staff were the best. Tell Miller, Carthy and Henry they come highly recommended! Enjoy your cruise.

I play tables. They used to give cash but the last 2 cruises I have received $25 in chips. They were both on Freedom. I don't know if it depends on the ship or not? Either way it's 25 bucks. Just go to the cage and ask for it! 😀

I guess I'm lucky. 6 post-pandemic cruises and I've gotten the e-mail every time.

As Platinum they also send you an e-mail prior to your cruise telling you how / when to claim your goodies.

Wow, that's a bummer. We'll be on Mardi Gras next week. Just sailed Freedom a few months ago and they had a great Platinum / Diamond party. Beer, wine, cocktails and anything you wanted to order from the bar for an hour! It was like the old days without the finger foods.
