I imagine you would include in ‘off the shelf designs’ the Media and the Parthia, as well as Carmania and her three sisters. Admittedly, they were all built for Cunard, but the concept is not new.
I think it is the competitive element I dislike. When I was a teacher, I spent a lot of emotional capital sorting out the very few children in the year who did less well than they had hoped in their exams. Hence, I spend all my time worrying about the losers, which banishes any possible enjoyment.
Yes, of course we do. I believe it is hugely popular, but I have never watched it, because I have no interest in competitive cake making. Never seen the dancing programme either.

It doesn’t look stuffed so much as swamped. May taste nice though, if you like cheese sauce. If I’d had to guess, I might have guessed it was lasagne. 🙂
