  1. We stayed there a few years ago. There are a few different room types, such as ocean view, etc. so make sure the price you see quoted is for the room you’re interested in. We enjoyed our stay; plenty of food choices in the area.
  2. I’ve read about people lining it with a plastic bag to increase its strength
  3. Schedule was available at Excursion desk and in the dailies last November
  4. We sailed on the Meraviglia from Manhattan in October 2019. There was a white tent outside the terminal to drop off your bags. There is a lounge in the terminal that NCL uses for their Haven guests as well. Not sure if Brooklyn had a VIP area.
  5. There might be a cap on the charge. At the pier in Manhattan there’s a max charge of 400.
  6. I’ve never done it, but some people will stay in lower Manhattan the night before and then head to Brooklyn in the morning
  7. Parking is in a lot directly across from the terminal. No need to worry about having to drop off your luggage. The terminal is located in a bit of an industrial area and not visible from the street. Not sure of the price since I haven’t from their since pre-pandemic. Enjoy your cruise
  8. The steward will give you the minimum number of pods he can. On the day we extras left over, I put them inside the cabinet out of sight so he would give us four replacements. Midway through the cruise they switched from the round coffee pods which fit perfectly to square which you had to squeeze into the coffee maker.
  9. We did the 10 minute walk outside of Amber Cove a year ago to meet a tour provider. No problem. When you are returned to the same spot to be dropped off, there will be a cab available can can enter and drop you off much closer to the ship. I think it was $5 a person. Definitely worth it.
  10. You can definitely smell exhaust at Spice, but I wouldn’t say it’s not usable. We’ve been out here the last 2 mornings.
  11. I confirmed last night in Cagney’s that you can no longer take your dessert to go after dinner. I was told it is for “The safety and health of the cruisers.” The first night at La Cucina I was told I couldn’t take my cannolis to go since “they might cause an accident.” I was able to get them to my room wrapped up in a napkin. No one was injured. Mike
  12. We stopped there on the Gem last year. I would strongly recommend just tendering to the beach and spending the day there. We took an excursion there. We had to tender to the beach dock and then take a ferry to La Romana. The ferry took 45 minutes.
  13. We’re on the Getaway now. Go straight to Headliners on Deck 6 to make your dining reservations
  14. Alvin is the Cruise Director, just back from vacation
  15. Tom, For The Million Dollar Quartet, Burn the floor and Broadway Unplugged, you can make reservations at the Box Office, Deck 7 once you board.
  16. It was announced this morning at the M&G that there are 3888 passengers on board.
  17. @Laszlo I believe you're heading over to Trunk Bay at St Thomas. If you have time, check out Parodeejay on YouTube. They just posted a video on their day trip there. Mike
  18. They also have a nice video poker bar.
  19. We were on it at the end of November. As I remember, about three trips in each direction. We were leaving that day at 3 PM. Not sure if it runs more frequently when the ship is docked over night.
  20. 711 12th Ave is the mailing address for the pier. You'll still be going from Pier 88 or 90. Just look for the ship when you arrive.
  21. Definitely Mixx, Atrium and The Local. The Casino Bar will open awhile after sailaway.
  22. Lunch will be available in at least one of the Main Dining Rooms (Taste or Savor). You will have to hold onto your carry-on until the rooms are ready. If you get on around 11, checkin at your muster station, have a drink and lunch at noon, it’s not that bad.
