  1. I believe that the harbor master at the port often decides where ships dock so Oceania very well could not know...
  2. I believe that different states have different insurance rules and not all policies are available in all states..
  3. Thank you for clarifying that GeoBlue is only medical...,
  4. I just looked at GeoBlue and it appears to be strictly medical and does not have any trip cancelation/interruption, etc. coverage. Is this correct or am I missing something? We have a TravelGuard annual policy and it includes both medical and cancelation, etc. coverage.
  5. Last cruise - Regatta - Sep 9 - 17 2022 Next cruise - Vista - 29SEP - 01NOV 2023 (B2B Plus 2 day interlude cruise in Miami in between)
  6. We have stayed in cabins very near on both Riviera nd O ships and love the location - never heard any noise from the elevators (Oceania guest do not party going into or out of elevators) and under the restroom for Terrace so no noise from above
  7. In actual practice you can bring as much beer, wine and liquor on board at embarkation and at a port as you want for consumption ONLY in your cabin, You may bring wine with you to a have with a meal and pay a $25.00 corkage fee. Your room steward/butler will be happy to bring what ever mixers, condiments and glasses (within reason) you would like for your various drinks in your cabin or out on your verandah. This is a much valued and appreciated perk sailing with Oceania.
  8. We can answer what is current on the ships now sailing but that could change when Vista sets sail later this Spring....
  9. Website Maintenance: We are scheduled to perform updates to the Oceania Cruises reservations systems on Saturday, March 25th between the hours of 7 PM and 11 PM EST. During this time, users will not be able to 'make new' or manage existing' bookings.
  10. The Insignia is currently sailing the ATW cruise . Lobster is available daily at the grill in Terrace (unless there is a themed dinner), at Waves daily and in the specialty venues and often on the GDR menu. We have enjoyed crab often onboard.
  11. TravelGuard plans do... Cruise Diversion – the Insured’s cruise does not stop at a scheduled port of call due to Inclement Weather, a Act of Terrorism, a medical incident involving another passenger on the ship, or a Natural Disaster;
  12. I just did a quick glance and found many excursions that I would not call bus tour or basic walking - when there a 4 walking men next to the tour, it will not be a basic walking tour! Since you booked under the Ultimate, look at this as an opportunity to enjoy 3 excursions..also if you are thinking of taking more excursions with Oceania, your 3 "free" excursions count towards the total needed to get the 25% Your World discount. If you search for shore excursions, you will find several threads that go into detail on how to maximize your shore excursions.
  13. Usually it will include any excursion up to $199.00 pp (there are a few exceptions of OE or OS excursions that price under). We have taken several that fell in the "free category" that were not basic walking or bus tours. We took a wonderful wine tasting and lunch tour in Ensenada that was a "free" excursion. Maybe it would help if you told us what sailing so we can look
  14. I just checked the cancellation wording on the O invoice on the canceled cruise and it does not say that the administrative fee will be a FCC
  15. Sorry - I meant I have never had an invoice with that wording (administrative fee will be a FCC)....I always have both the O and TA invoice for every cruise. It will be interesting to see if it was because my canceled cruise was booked in 2022 so that is why when I canceled and booked a new one in 2023 that it fell under the "old" rule.
  16. I have never had an invoice or seen where it states the the admin fee will be an FCC - it just always has been in the 12 years I have been sailing on O. I asked @Jancruz to weigh in as she, generally, has the best information
  17. @Jancruz perhaps you can shed some light on the actual O policy concerning the $250.00 administrative fee. If you cancel a cruise between 180 - 91 days and incur the fee, is it a FCC in your account? Not talking about canceling less than 91 days. TIA
  18. Yes - we canceled at 110 days out so in cancellation window for the $250.00 administrative fee. We had not made final payment nor in the cancelation window of 90 days or less, One cruise was canceled incurring the administrative fee and then booked a new cruise and was told (and appears on my invoice) that the $250.00 was credited to that cruise, Did not specifically ask for it (since did not know there was any question about it because of past experience). O rep just said here is the price for the new cruise and then the $250.00FCC from canceled cruise will be applied. I have always noticed the different wording for the $250.00 calling it an administrative fee while the rest are strict cancelation. Perhaps the confusion is that someone canceled less than 90 days out and thought they would still have the $250.00 fee portion of their cancelation cost as a FCC.
  19. I just canceled a cruise and booked another one 2 weeks ago and the administrative fee was applied to the new cruise...the same as has happened over the last several years.
  20. The $250.00 administrative fee is put in your account as a Future Cruise Credit and will be applied to your next cruise booked on O. So it is only lost if you do not book another Oceania cruise within the next year
  21. Per the description on OE excursions, they are limited to a maximum of 16 people so easier to enjoy the tour instead of on a large bus with 30-40 others
  22. From the many mimosas and champagne I have enjoyed with my breakfast while sitting out on the back deck of Terrace - first hand, personal knowledge..... Sorry but we regularly have the Select package and have enjoyed both mimosas and champagne with our breakfast and have not paid for it.....
  23. You also can have drinks with breakfast - a mimosa or glass of champagne with breakfast on the back deck of Terrace as you sail into port is a wonderful way to start the day!. Also since port is a wine, you can enjoy a glass of port to end your meal
  24. Yes - you can book cruise only..always a good idea to check the difference in price between cruise only and OLife (this case the Ultimate Sale). Usually the difference is the amount of the OBC so you are receiving the beverage package and shore excursions for no additional charge with the Ultimate Sale. It all depends upon what you would use....
