  1. I believe she indicated that she was looking for a cruise line that did not require someone to be vaccinated and was going on Cunard.....all of her posts have disappeared now
  2. Suites on Princess do not come with a butler., addittional free reservations at specialty restaurants, course by course serving of meals from the GDR and any specialty dining room in your cabin, etc.
  3. Oceania has never limited the amount of wine, beer or any type of liquor be brought on board for consumption in your cabin........this as at embarkation and at any port.. we have brought on board a case of wine at embarkation, slapped a label on it, handed to the porters with our luggage and it is usually the first delivered to our cabin.
  4. Call O and have them book your free excursions....they do not mind
  5. Did you actually go finish the process and check out? The excursions sitting in the cart is not a confirmed excursion.
  6. I did not look back to see that her posts were removed.......so glad that the moderators are working. The remarks were uncalled for and so not respectful. Thank you for your details on how Oceania handles quaratine which mirrors most everything else I have read.
  7. You have a AMEX platinum or centurion credit card, pay for the cruise with that card and then your TA contacts AMEX and gets an approval code which is given to Oceania and you receive a $250.00OBC....not all promotions are combinable so must read fine print to make sure it is combinable with AMEX,
  8. I was responding to his comment that he had booked a cruise awhile back and was looking forward to the 4-category upgrade....I understood his comment to mean he had a cruise booked and now wanted to get the 4-category upgrade.
  9. Sorry to hear you had such an unpleasant experience in RG - I would have been very disappointed if I received the food you describe! So far, RG is our favorite (but Jacques is right up there) and all of our meals have been superb. Keep fingers crossed that we find the same great food at RG next time we indulge.
  10. Is your cruise one of the listed itineraries? It was not valid on every cruise and, I believe, needed to be booked during the sale not retro-active.
  11. There is no charge for any drink that does not contain alcohol.......coffees, soft drinks, virgin drinks, lemonade, juices, etc.
  12. Amazing ~~~ taste so good!
  13. There was an Ultimate O Life sale where Oceania offered all 3 perks on certain sailings.....it just ended but, I believe, started the beginning of May. We are booked on a Fall Regatta cruise with all 3OLIfe Perks.
  14. As has been reported, on O you do remain in your cabin unless you are in inside or Oceanview, then you are moved to a verandah cabin
  15. I believe that is because there are more specialty restaurants on Vista than Nautica so in total you will end up with the same number (or more) opportunities to eat in a specialty restaurant
  16. I booked through a TA and am able to "view credits" for all my bookings. I click on booked cruise and then manage cruise and it shows....when I click on View credits.....it shows the breakdown of credits. CONCIERGE LEVEL VERANDA (A2) Deck 7, Suite 7083 Guest(s): SHIPBOARD CREDIT TOTAL$650 REMAINING$52 View Credits View Purchases
  17. Luckily asking for a bowl of berries is easily accomplished on O. because it is an "on the menu" item .....unless it has been several weeks since they could replenish. O is definitely not a "stick to the menu" kind of cruise line. We have made many changes to the menu (combining items from several different options) but O is most definitely not like having a private chef that will create a special dish just for you several nights a week. I have sailed on Seabourne and did not find them any more flexible than O for creating a special dish "off menu" any time I wanted (but we also do not require that)... It sounds like you will be much happier with a smaller cruise line where you can, perhaps, create your own specific menus and recipes.
  18. Special requests are easily handled with a few day's notice (if they have the ingredients and recipe).....first you indicated that you were looking to have special requests a couple times a week and then stated that you requested a special meal once or twice on your other cruises....on our most recent Oceania cruise, Indian food was available on the regular menu in several different venues several times a week.
  19. What type of special orders? On Marina you will have 4 specialty restaurants plus MDR, Terrace, Waves, Baristas and room service. If you are in a Penthouse of above, you can order from any of the specialty restaurants for dinner for course by course serving in your room...
