  1. Sorry - I meant I have never had an invoice with that wording (administrative fee will be a FCC)....I always have both the O and TA invoice for every cruise. It will be interesting to see if it was because my canceled cruise was booked in 2022 so that is why when I canceled and booked a new one in 2023 that it fell under the "old" rule.
  2. I have never had an invoice or seen where it states the the admin fee will be an FCC - it just always has been in the 12 years I have been sailing on O. I asked @Jancruz to weigh in as she, generally, has the best information
  3. @Jancruz perhaps you can shed some light on the actual O policy concerning the $250.00 administrative fee. If you cancel a cruise between 180 - 91 days and incur the fee, is it a FCC in your account? Not talking about canceling less than 91 days. TIA
  4. Yes - we canceled at 110 days out so in cancellation window for the $250.00 administrative fee. We had not made final payment nor in the cancelation window of 90 days or less, One cruise was canceled incurring the administrative fee and then booked a new cruise and was told (and appears on my invoice) that the $250.00 was credited to that cruise, Did not specifically ask for it (since did not know there was any question about it because of past experience). O rep just said here is the price for the new cruise and then the $250.00FCC from canceled cruise will be applied. I have always noticed the different wording for the $250.00 calling it an administrative fee while the rest are strict cancelation. Perhaps the confusion is that someone canceled less than 90 days out and thought they would still have the $250.00 fee portion of their cancelation cost as a FCC.
  5. I just canceled a cruise and booked another one 2 weeks ago and the administrative fee was applied to the new cruise...the same as has happened over the last several years.
  6. The $250.00 administrative fee is put in your account as a Future Cruise Credit and will be applied to your next cruise booked on O. So it is only lost if you do not book another Oceania cruise within the next year
  7. Per the description on OE excursions, they are limited to a maximum of 16 people so easier to enjoy the tour instead of on a large bus with 30-40 others
  8. From the many mimosas and champagne I have enjoyed with my breakfast while sitting out on the back deck of Terrace - first hand, personal knowledge..... Sorry but we regularly have the Select package and have enjoyed both mimosas and champagne with our breakfast and have not paid for it.....
  9. You also can have drinks with breakfast - a mimosa or glass of champagne with breakfast on the back deck of Terrace as you sail into port is a wonderful way to start the day!. Also since port is a wine, you can enjoy a glass of port to end your meal
  10. Yes - you can book cruise only..always a good idea to check the difference in price between cruise only and OLife (this case the Ultimate Sale). Usually the difference is the amount of the OBC so you are receiving the beverage package and shore excursions for no additional charge with the Ultimate Sale. It all depends upon what you would use....
  11. We just changed an itinerary booked on board and used a FCC purchased onboard for 2 different cruises both part of the 20th Anniversary sale and received both onboard discounts and 20th Anniversary sale ( large OBC).
  12. This is an itinerary we were looking at and our agency is offering pre=paid gratuities.....
  13. 23JUL 2023 11 day sailing Regatta SEA-SEA: Cruise only fare B2 - $5699.00 pp OLife Ultimate fare B2 - $5999.00 pp ($300.00 pp OBC, 3 free shore excursions pp, Select beverage packagepp all included) I would say this is a big savings over the cruise only fare......
  14. We found the dress was more formal on Seabourn - men wore coats and ties in the evening and suits/tux on formal nights. Ladies were dressed up more in dresses and heels, etc. More casual dress in their "Terrace" restaurant in the evenings. The pre and post dinner cocktails and gatherings in their "Horizons" was filled with the dressier group. We enjoyed our cruise to Antarctica on their Expedition ship but will stick with Oceania This is just our thoughts and views
  15. The room cards have intiials on them indicating if you have the House or Prestige beverage package. The server will take your card and return with no slip to sign. We find that the servers generally learn quickly that you have a beverage package and do not even take the card.
  16. Guest relations will take the cards you were given at check in and give you new cards with the initials indicating that you have the upgraded package. It only takes a few minutes. DH usually heads to guest relations when we board to upgrade package while I head up to find a table at Waves or Terrace ....
  17. Yes - we have ordered 2 of the same drink and each had one, not a problem
  18. The house select beverage package will also get you champagne/mimosas at breakfast and port at any meal besides wine and beer during lunch and dinner serving hours...
  19. New to Crystal - notice lower cabins have a "junior butler" and higher cabins have a "butler" - what is the difference? TIA
  20. We have brought on many more than 6 bottles of wine and as many beers as you wish and also spirits.....all for consumption in your cabin (except wine which can be brought to a dining venue and you pay the $25.00 corkage fee). Your cabin steward/butler will be happy to provide appropriate glassware, mixer and even garnish for your preferred drink.
  21. Thanks for giving specific and personal experience - very helpful for OP
  22. WOO HOO - we board Vista in Montreal and stay on until LAX!!!
  23. I have friends currently on Riviera and loving the new decor, etc....only complaint was the move of the ice cream from inside at Terrace to out by Waves.
  24. Depends upon what they replaced the ice cream area with inside Terrace and if they increased the size of the Waves ice cream area......
