    When I try a new line other than Celebrity (because of how low they have fallen) it won’t be on a Royal Caribbean group ship. That would defeat the purpose of spending my money elsewhere.

    The markup is to be expected which is why we always upgrade to a premium package. The $2 markup is like charging me twice! And for crappy wines to boot!

    I purchased the Macallan Enigma on MSC (at the 25% off sale with OBC). It was a beautiful bottle and box. I didn’t care too much for the scotch itself but my friend loved it! When the bottle was empty he dropped me off a bottle of The Glenlivet 18 which I though was superior in taste. The only bottle I ever kept when empty was my Papi from a milestone birthday.

    Santa left that Macallan Harmony under the tree for me! Of course he also left me Covid in my stocking! I thought I had been good but I think it’s the new coal!

    They actually said they had an ‘award winning list’ which of course they did. They just never had the wines that were on the list!

    $8.99 a bottle in Walmart! And Celebrity always said they had the best wine at sea. Fancy Celebrity, real fancy!

    Also the Violet Hour. I love the Azteca and will pay the extra a couple of nights. I have a cruise on the Ascent in 3 weeks and the Mardi Gras cruise in February on the Connie. These are cruises number 43 and 44 on Celebrity. After that I have 3 MSC YC’s booked. Then on to other lines to try.

    I find it funny that the Azteca drink in the WC bar jumped $2 but most others stayed at $17. It’s the same drink that use to cost the same as the others. It makes no sense to me unless they are upping all the drinks one drink at a time. I bet they up the prices based on how popular they are and not the cost of making it. Celebrity has certainly fallen far. Sad, very sad.

    The point is people didn’t get what they paid for. They might not need it but they did pay for it and should receive it.

    What ship are you on? The most expensive dink is the good zacapa rum that is smoked and that is $22. Most drinks are $17 and $19.

    The WCB is on S class and Beyond and Ascent. It is the best bar at sea! You do not want to miss it. The drinks are fantastic.

    How was the new Pappy? My husband bought me a Pappy (not the new one) for my 65th bday. I sipped every night till it was gone!

    My friend and I purchased that upgrade on the Divina. It was the last cruise they were offering it. It was the best money we spent! We had Moët mimosas every morning at the delight of the One Pool bartender who always had an open bottle for us. It was my first MSC cruise! I had some fancy nightcaps on that cruise!

    lol When I was a bartender I asked my customer how would you like your burger and he leaned over and whispered “light a match, stick it up its @$$ and send it out here”! I laughed all day. I have used the line a few times if I have a good feeling about my server.

    I have never left a penny of my OBC. That last night if I have any left I find a way to spend it. I have played at the casino with it a few times but that is where I ended up leaving it so I try to avoid that lol.

    How? You could years ago in the casino but now they make you play that amount first.

    Nice! I brought home Macallan Enigma and Chivas Royal Salute. My husband doesn’t drink scotch so it was all mine! Just finished both but will replenish in May on my MSC. Also got some fancy face lotion. What did my husband get? Nothing but he doesn’t care.

    I don’t think you can get the booze I got at the grocery store. I would never by art. You can’t cash out the non refundable which is what my OBC was. I didn’t want to give it to the casino to try to cash it out that way. I took the refundable in cash though.
