  1. Yes, but not surprising, she is so good on stage and connects with passengers on a personal level. Would love to sail with her again!
  2. I have been to Juneau many times, even spent a week there years ago. But what I saw in 2023 was very sad. Don't remember how many ships were in port that day, but the streets were so crowded people had to walk in the street. The dock area was wall to wall people just standing in groups. They were rude and refused to move to let people through. So glad to see the news that Juneau will start limiting the number of ships!
  3. Kristen was our director last year on Westerdam. She is the best I have seen in a while.
  4. Yes, jeans are fine but not torn or dirty ones. They are lenient on the first evening as some folks will not get luggage before dinner. The "dressy" nights will probably be on at sea days. Two nights per seven day cruise.
  5. Good morning, Oklahoma is starting the "recovery" from tornadoes. Unfortunately the death count is up to five this morning. It will take the small town of Sulphur a bit longer. There is now a shelter just across the street in a Church and will take some things over there this morning. The people in this part of Oklahoma are accustomed to this and will recover and be better than ever!
  6. Good evening all. Just got power back after it went off about 10:30 last night. News says three tornados went through Southern Oklahoma last night. One small town almost leveled, a lot of damage just a few blocks west of me. 4 people died and over 100 injured. More storms moving through tonight. My Yorkie and I are fine, the closet is a fine place when storm warnings go off! Please pray for those who have been affected by these storms.
  7. I bet it caught something from the HAL website!
  8. Not working on my Kindle either. Tried deleting the link and signing back in and won't accept my password. Now on laptop.
  9. I now cruise single and have two cruises booked. DH and I preferred Neptune Suites which , I think will hold actually three or four persons. Now that he is gone I still book Neptunes, fortunately he left me able to afford that. If HAL decides to "move" me they are going to face one very upset "old" lady!
  10. Haines is the perfect place just to wander around and meet the people who live there. They are friendly for the most part and glad you are visiting. Nothing is very far away and there is plenty of beautiful scenery.
  11. Almost anything would be better than what HAL's IT Department is putting out now!
  12. You certainly deserve this one! Have a wonderful cruise😀
  13. We have always used Jayleen's Alaska for whale watching. Smaller boats and she is a native Alaskan. Her Captains pick you up at the pier and bring you back. Great company!
  14. If we all keep using that feedback button they will remove it! 😁
  15. Just had a email from the "head of the e-commerce" team. He said he forwarded my email to IT and they are looking into the problems. Noe they just need to FIX the problems!
  16. Remember to care for yourself too. The bells on the door was one of the hints I received, it works! Also, I put a battery operating night light in the hall and bathroom. If I can help in any way just ask!
  17. libtrek, I traveled with DH a couple of times after he was diagnosed with ALZ. He loved Alaska and the ship tours were easier for him. His doctor gave me lots of hints on how to keep him safe and enjoying the trip. We cruised Alaska ten times! My prayers are with you!
  18. Thanks Ruth, have all that too. Just trying to book dining, shore excursions. Plus very troubling when HAL says your cruise doesn't exist! If I was a new cruiser I would be very worried, I should be accustomed to this but seems much worse since the shut down!
  19. Tried that too, no luck with three different browsers.
  20. Thanks dfish, did that over a week ago. Now it is actually worse.
  21. This seems to be a normal thing for HAL. Have not been able to access my two booked cruises for weeks! I suggest you call HAL.
  22. Warm and muggy in southern Oklahoma this morning, rain rest of the week. Prayers for Jacqui and all who need them, sometimes you just have to take one minute at a time!
