can pretty much provide an educated guess and say no.
That's my current thought. figured it couldn't hurt to ask especially considering how far technology continues to grow. And everything needs a fast charge. Or better yet, the people would like a fast charge. Thanks.

This would also apply to anyone who has been in the Majestic as I believe that have the USB port in the lamps as well. I think.
-
For those who've been on the sky princess already we're currently on air, the nightstand lamps in the cabin are the USB ports that are there, are they a quick charge USB port or no?

This was just posted.
It’s the end of an era for travelers at LAX as industry veteran SuperShuttle has informed franchisees they will shut down their Los Angeles operations effective January 1, 2020.
Yup. I posted the article under here (the thread I started) in regards to their last day. Thanks.

Uber, Lyft and a poor quality of service by SuperShuttle killed SuperShuttle's business. See some of the "never again" comments earlier in this thread.
Yup I read them. Which is why I've decided to just stick with Princess Transfer Shuttles.

I usually receive my. Medallions 3 weeks prior to my cruises.

Past threads have discussed noise coming from a connecting cabin. Some folks say, "Never again," while others say they heard nothing more from next door than they did from the hall.
I'm wondering if the newer ships have been better designed to handle sound from next door coming from the space between the stateroom doors.. Can anyone who has sailed a newer ship lately in a connecting room shed any light on this? Would appreciate the input.
I had a connecting cabin once and it was absolutely horrendous on one of the newer ships. Never ever ever ever again will I have that. I had unwilling teenagers whose parents and grandparents. They need it privacy and would cuss and constantly bang on the door and trying viciously trying to get through the door and open it. I have security up there the entire length of the cruise, as each time they would knock on the door of the teenagers with run to the balcony and pretend that they weren't in the room. Nightmare of a situation.

Just read in an LA times article that super shuttle is actually taking its final last Friday December 31st before going out of business. Looks like uber and Lyft has killed super shuttle's business

Got an email advising we have been upgraded from our specially chosen towards-the-rear-of-the-ship cabin to a mid-ship cabin (balcony cabin on the Caribbean Princess). Only problem is, the new cabin is probably the closest you can get to the panoramic lift foyer. I don’t think this is an upgrade because we are now in a high traffic area and will have extra noise as people chat while they are waiting for the lift.
Interested in people's thoughts on whether noise will be an issue.
Thanks.
I've actually had several cabins close by to an elevator bank and in all honesty I've never had a problem never really heard any form of noise from those areas. Like others have mentioned if it bothers you definitely called Princess and tell him about your unsatisfaction with the cabin move. Also word of advice as I do it all the time when I book a cruise I always have my travel agent UNcheck the box where it says for cabin upgrades because like you, I like to hand-select my cabins on the deck and location. My thoughts with Princess moving you there upgrades are not usually considered an upgrade to you. Because everyone's idea of what a good location is may not be the next guy's idea of a good location.

First, congrats to the OP!!!
As to those upsells, I've yet to get one that makes sense. Last Princess cruise (this past April), we were originally booked in a Caribe deck balcony...and started getting upsell offers to a Mini-Suite that would have significantly increased our cost...I just kept monitoring the fares instead, and eventually upsold myself--into a Club Class Mini-Suite--for almost no cost increase like $8 pp, IIRC. and that was while the upsell offer was still on the table for a several hundred dollar increase!
The Club Class Mini-Suites DO have some extra advantages--midship location and special reserved dining room area with the suites.
Exactly! Well Done! I do the same wear I always check to see if there's any price drops or promotions. the up self at the company hands out like you said make no sense are there no great shakes of a deal.

Congratulations that's fantastic news! It's also awesome to know that the upgrade fairy is still in existence. Was starting to doubt that with all these upsells that princess has been doing for a few years.

I was at LAX a few days ago so here’s my observations.
I usually use UBER to the San Pedro cruise terminal but with the changes I chose Super Shuttle. I only paid $21 including tip & we only made one stop.
I noticed that the shuttle buses to the new location for UBER ran every few minutes. Any future cruise out of LA I will probably use UBER again since it’s a direct trip.
Tom😎
How much does a uber typically run from LAX to San Pedro?

Yes, the pricing and flight schedules usually make LAX so much more affordable. But, Long Beach would be my first choice if prices were equal. I just can't see spending so much more for the flight. I will continue to monitor SWA for price drops, though....I've still got a few months to go. As of now, I can fly clear across the country for less $$ ....
My trip isn't till June, but I was able to grab on Cyber Monday and a nonstop JetBlue flight from Ft. Lauderdale to LAX for $169 roundtrip. Talk about a deal!!!! That reason alone became a massive deciding factor on which cruise I was doing in June, and to where.

I had the same question and looked this up. Your assumption is correct. The ride share cars definitely drop you off at the terminal in front of your airline for departures. It is only the pick up lot that is involved. This was on the LAX site.
I have flights booked for both directions at LAX for my next cruise. I am considering changing my flight to Long Beach for the arrival flight, even though it is currently more than double the cost of flying into LAX. I am still monitoring the progress of that ride share lot because I just hate the thought of paying so much more for such a short flight.
I looked into changing my flight to Long Beach. But after looking at the cost, double if not even triple the amount of flying into LAX I'm sucking it up. Also, the fact that LAX is non-stop makes a world of a difference for me. I decided to take the princess transfer both ways to and from LAX.

I just got a quote - ship to LAX - 2 people $68 - super shuttle had been 50
Correct. My travel agent called them up to find out exactly what the price is. 68 at this point I don't mind especially if there's no stops like the super shuttle. And like I said it's that safety-net the cruise line can't leave without passengers on their own shuttles.

I took a shared super shuttle from LAX to San Pedro yesterday afternoon - one way to Doubletree - flight was a little late - boarded Super Shuttle at 4 - arrived at the hotel at 5:45 after multiple stops - NEVER AGAIN - several of the stops were in residential neighborhoods!!
Thanks that was really helpful information. I think looted I'm just doing and I have already booked the princess transfer to and from the airport. It's also a really good safety net because the ship can't leave without their passengers who are taking the princess shuttles.

Just went through the motions with super shuttle. It was giving me $36 each way. With tax and tip is little over $80 roundtrip. 😲

Their is a person at the airport with a Princess jacket on with a list of peoples names.
Like yourself I don’t want to have to wait for others.
I usually use UBER but I’m using Super Shuttle with the changes in using UBER.
Tom
Yes, I saw the mentioning a super shuttle above earlier on in the comments. And it was something I was going to look into.

And now I'm starting to see why my flight to LAX was so dirt cheap. LOL 🤣😂🤪. you guys are all providing me with such excellent information where I'm really trying to study what the best route is. The shuttles for princess if I take that is there any transfers required or they still right there by the baggage claim like they are most airports? Because at this point I might be willing to pay just a little extra just to do the shuttle and suck it up being stuck on a bus waiting for others if it means less of a hassle possibly.

When Princess puts out a promo, they often have alternate fares with no perks at all ... but one needs ti ask for it ... saves a lot of angst ... and protects onboard staff from an uncomfortable Lets Make a Deal scenario
Brilliant. it's funny that you mention this. Because I recall doing this but they ultimate drink package and denying it because I don't drink any alcohol. And the rate was repaired to a lovely price. Thank you for the reminder/suggestion.

What is worth approximately $64. I think you could arrange two coffee cards, maybe a soda package on a 7 day cruise, 35 cans of soda, two specialty dinners. Go to passenger services with your options in mind.
Thank you for the suggestion!

From what I've been able to find out there is no set trade-in. When I was on the CB earlier this month I asked at the Future Cruise office and was told that it would vary depending on ship and there was no way to know until you get on the ship and request the swap.
I also re-fared today and asked the same question and was told that it might be switched out for water, soda, or coffee cards, but he couldn't give an specific as to what exactly the vouchers would translate to in non-alcoholic options.
My guess is that since each voucher is worth (i think) $35 that they'll give as close to $35 in whatever you choose as they can but so far I haven't been able to find out if that's the case.
Thanks. I was thinking the same exact thing such as water sofa and coffee Card. I mean the funny thing is is I'm already Elite so I already tried out my entire bar setup for all water bottles because I don't drink. I will gladly take a coffee card at least I can use it on Tea or something at international cafe. / Coffee and cones (depending on the trip). I would be just as easily as pleased if they just want to credit me $35 or give me OBC for it that would be grand. Unlikely thougg. Hahahaha.

I received a promotion for 2 free bottles of wine on my cruise. It says on my invoice that there are non alcoholic wine options available, which is great since I don't drink. Anyone have any idea what the alternative/options are?
