  1. I don't let the Small things ruin my vacation, as I'm just genuinely happy to be onboard. I just me and around and I usually find a spot with in The Piazza area or vines if you're looking to sit down and order some coffee and have a like a little light snack.

  2. Yes the medallion replaces the cruise card. It unlocks your cabin door, you use for payment at the shops, bars, upgraded restaurants, etc. If you download the app ocean now to that app you can order drinks and have them delivered to you along with certain food items and merchandise as well. That's supposed to be more of a hands-free interactive medallion. Check out the ocean Medallion threads for more information.

Agree.  And maybe some of the standards/amenities/decorum that we originally chose Princess for will return.  Sorry, but one of my biggest pet peeves is some who choose to be in the dining area and elevators in swimsuits....sometimes even wet.  I’m not talking about kids, either.  Just my personal opinion, but that really does remind me of a different cruise line.

This isn’t meant to be elitist in any way, just an acknowledgement that there are a variety of cruise lines for many different types of cruisers.  After trying the different ones, we chose Princess because of the particular types of atmosphere, amenities, decor and decorum.

I am merely agreeing with neverbeenhere in his observation that the recent stagnant, even decreasing, prices on Princess have contributed to the changing standards.

    Safe Journeys, Paul

Yup. Completely agree. It was very well noticed on my most recent CB sailing a few weeks.

Hello - Does anyone know if Princess ever puts the beverage package up for sale?

No. Unless you partake in in their sip and sail promotion, which you just missed. They have this promotion once a year

We tried ordering drinks with the medallion twice. The first time we gave up after 50 minutes. Yesterday we tried again while sitting in Explorers lounge, and the waiter said his app kept telling him that we were two decks below in the piazza. We’ll stick with ordering directly from servers.....you can get a drink much faster that way.

On the Regal they were super speedy and efficient with drink orders thought the ocean now app. CB was horrible, as if they see your order, but completely and intentionally ignore. The two times j tried ordering in CB I did the same. Waited like 30-40 min for a simple glass of water. I got up and left. Funny thing about an 1.5 hrs from the time I put the order through I got a message on my phone stating my drink was being delivered. Hahahaha. I was long gone and napping in my cabin by then. I complained about it on my survey. Regal no problem though.

  6. There was actually a time period where princess pulled all of their ships out for caribbean season in the summer months. The last few years they go back and forth with keeping one ship and not having one here in FLL. August. All princess ships are away for the season not sailing the Caribbean.

  7. As others mentioned you can do as you please. However on the doors a little sticker by the handle mentioning that due to high winds and being so high up on deck 15, it states that its best not to be out there. When the ship is sailing. As always, use per your discretion

  8. usually in the patter it says that you can put your luggage outside of your cabin no later than 10 p.m. in the evening. or if you choose to just take your own luggage off the ship when you disembark they don't have to worry about putting it out that's up to you. Just make sure if you do leave your luggage the night before out to have a bag with all your necessities. casinos will be closed before it docks in victorious and make sure you are definitely cashed out by then. As always even like you mentioned just triple check with the patter on all information

Thanks again for your assistance, you have been very helpful.  I did see the "bus logo" on my Boarding Pass.  I also managed to find a post (some how I missed it earlier) that gave me information for finding transfer info --- I went into my calendar and it was right under my embarkation port (Seattle.)

    My pleasure 😊

we are currently at 13 cruises, one in a suite ... so 14 cruise credits ... and 79 days

as our next cruise is 3 days ... we will become "ELITE" after that cruise with a total of 82 cruise days

and it only took us 12 years ... :classic_cool:

Hooray!!!! Use and enjoy the free laundry service that's my absolute favorite. To have clean fresh clothes not just within your cruise but you get it done before you leave so when you get home no extra work to be done. They actually do a fantastic job with the laundry and dry cleaning services.

  11. to see that you paid for your transfer it is not the most easiest thing to find on the cruise personalizer. However when you print out your boarding pass you'll have a little picture of a bus and that's a key for those who work for the line that represents that you have a transfer included with your Chris Fair. When you go to print your boarding pass I believe there is an area where you can print out your cruise itinerary and information I forgot the actual term as I don't have a booking that's that close to sailing for me to pull it up. But within that whole document it also mentions that there's a transfer. When you get to the airport they do have a manifest with those who have purchased the transfer to your name should be on that list I wouldn't worry too much.

I want to pass your comforting comments on to my sister. We want her to cruise with us, but we kind of have "golden handcuffs" of being high tier in Crown and Anchor and Captain's Club, so we want her to sail on those ships. She is very fond of Princess though, so we might have to give it a try for her.

You have been very helpful here as have others here too. Could you tell me if Regal and Royal Princess have a dedicated suites restaurant or is it part of the MDR or what is it like?

Also, the Royal and especially the Regal are my favorite ships. I have gone on the Regal for the past five years a minimum of five times a year. It is a gorgeous ship with a fabulous set of crew members. With the newer ships of the sky and Enchanted princess coming out I'll be moving over to them. whatever you decide I hope you your husband and your sister have a lovely and wonderful Cruise. It has been my pleasure to help and comfort you.

If you book a club class suite, there is club class dinning located in the MDR. One side of that particular dinning room is dedicated for club class. the many was pretty much the same as the MDR menu however they usually have a special entree and dessert exclusive for the club class dining that's not on the regular menu. For suite guests and club class guests they do host a lovely complementary breakfast in one of the upgraded restaurants.

Yes, that's why Hubby and I pretty much take lots of cruises in cheaper cabins rather than fewer cruises in costlier cabins, but my sister is a widow which complicates her cruising situation a little. I think she is brave to cruise alone...not sure I would enjoy that if I were in her shoes. I admire her for giving it a shot.

I cruise solo all the time. I don't find it conducive for myself to ever get a suit or even a mini, as I enjoy cruising way to often. Luxurious oversize room or more cruise. I chose quantity. I choose luxury in the eyes of sailing on Princess as one of their loyal cruisers. Plus traveling solo, cruising is say is the safest form of travel. It's so just relaxing, and fun. Simply it's whatever you make it to be.

    CruiseVA,

Is the discount available only after you board? How much is the per day or total price before the discount?

In my personalizer I see "50% off unlimited internet", which is $10 per day, wonder if it will be cheaper if I wait for the discount to show up but not sure if this special price will still be available.

    Thanks,

    April

It's cheaper to get the unlimited on the day you board. Comes out to be roughly $7 a day. But this 25% discount is for elite. And I wanna say Platinum as well.

Jeter, thank you for mentioning the double points for traveling alone. That's a big help. I have to pass this information on to someone who is considering the multiple short cruises. She needs six cruises to get to Elite. If she is traveling alone, she needs only three more cruises? I'm still kind of foggy on the details.

You are once again correct. 3 cruises as a solo traveler will given them 6 loyalty cruise credits.
