  1. That would be incorrect information. The military OBC falls under your OBC account so anything that gets charged to your stateroom accounts it uses up the non-refundable OBC first followed by the refundable OBC. Doesn't matter what kind it is per se the military. You will be perfectly fine..

  2. I personally think you will be fine. And if anything was as extreme high alert and you have an excursion book with Princess directly I'm pretty positive they wouldn't continue with the tours if they thought their passengers would be in any direct harm. Enjoy yourself and have a wonderful once-in-a-lifetime experience.

  3. Or if you decide to do like uber it's roughly $36 to $46 to the pier from the airport. To give you a rough idea. that way you don't have to sit waiting for a shuttle bus to fill up to take you down to the Pier from the cruise line.

Since you were helpful with the cost of Princess transfers to the ship, I have another question.  Let's say we arrive the day before embarkation and stay at a hotel close to the airport.  We shuttle back to the airport the day of embarkation and use the Princess transfers.  How does that work?  Is this possible or can we only use transfers if we fly in the day of embarkation.

yes you can absolutely grab that shuttle from the airport if you want to drive back to the airport after the night at the hotel. Usually they have representatives for Princess Cruises down at baggage claim that will direct you where to go for the shuttle.

This may seem like a silly question but it has been years since we used a cruise line transfer, but I am wondering if this is the easiest thing to do at this pier. Question-  After we disembark and get our luggage I have read we need to pray for a porter. (Not numerous at this port?)  So, in the event we cannot flag down a porter how far away are the buses?  Will someone there handle our luggage?

We have used taxis or a limo most often, but I read they are located a distance from where we exit the building. Can anyone help?

Oh no. the area where you exit after getting your luggage it is not that far of a walk at all to the buses.

    We

We had an experience on one cruise where my husband used the wrong code to open the safe and the safe locked us out.  We had to call security and prove who we were and  at first they said that they could not override the code, but then a supervisor came and again we presented ID and he opened it.  Not really sure how a stranger with lost medallion could get into safe.  Is safe code on medallion?

Yes the safe is code operated. You creat a 4 digit code which is used to lock and unlock the safe. If you have any issues with your safe when it comes to opening it the supervisor is the one who comes out to fix it.

We are in R507 on the Crown next week. Does anyone know if the tv is set up like on the CB. We loved our sideways cabin the last time we sailed.

On the Golden and Ruby they are not on the counter. They are up on that upper shelf. In my OV cabin in the CB it was also in top as well.

Jeter02...yeah they have it resting on the gold bar so it sat crooked.......not that we watched it a lot but just had to laugh that they couldn't even remove the gold bar to insure the tv sat flat and straight.  I was still able to use the back of the counter to hold our beach bag for the next day...but that was certainly a head scratcher. not sure why they didn't mount it with a swing out arm that was attached to the wall up where the shelf was...I am not engineer but I thought that was poor placement..lol

Camelia you are welcome...we always use one suitcase as a hamper of sorts...I have the largest bag you can check per airlines and I am able to lay it flat inside that first closet and then just lift the lid of the suitcase and lay the dirty clothes in there........that way I am essentially packing a little each day vs trying to repack everything near the end.  We love these rooms but there are few of them on the grand class ships, the royal class has more of them.

Yup I've seen them sit in those caddy corner upper shelf so it's doable. At least it's entertaining in trying to figureb out why. Hehehe

  9. I had mine a few ago on the CB. Its not a strip par sat more of a small square  for three plus and 5 USBs. No problem at all. Whoever the housekeeping executive is could be exceptionally strict on the rule which is then passed down to the supervisors then on to the cabin Stewards

I HAVE set up an account.. the cruise is not showing up in there.. that's my question.. how do I get it to show up without having to enter the booking number, name and date of birth every time?

If you have tried logging in with just email and password, and the booking does not show up. Call Princess, and they will be able to link your booking to your account. It's definitely not your fault on your end.
