  1. As mentioned you can get a cabin assignment up to the moment you arrive to port. When I use to do guarantees, I usually found out prior to the cruise. Guarantees can be exciting, and also make you anxious at the same time. This is why I will no longer do guarantees, and will pay a little extra to hand select my cabins, as I preferred deck.

Thanks for the menu.  Do you know, it doesn't mention it on the menu, are those all blended with something like yogurt or is it just the items listed blended?

To be honest, I don't know. I haven't tried any of the smoothies or blends. I do know on the CB as they had fruit and fruit with vegetable blends for breakfast, those were strictly just juice. Delicious by the way, as I had one daily.

We are due to cruise on the Majestic Princess in December and this was on the website as being on this ship. I would also be interested to see a menu/price list if anyone has one.

They had the juice bar on the Regal, which they debuted this past spring. Love the concept. Here's the menu.

If I read correctly there are no mail boxes on medallion cruises. Are correspondences, invitations, ads, etc., also pushed under the door? Thanks.

No. you're cabins Stuart will have everything beautifully laid out on your bed when they do their turndown service. however if you've already turned in let's say early for the evening then they will most likely slip it underneath your door unless they put it on your bed during the mornings refreshing service.

We will be doing our very first Christmas and New Years cruise this year. I can't wait!!!

Oh you're gonna love it. New Year's onboard is fantastic. They give out new year's hats and tiaras along with noise makers. You have to options of where to celebrate. Piazza dies a blue drop and will have live music from the party band. You can also celebrate up in the pool deck where they too gave lots of love music from party bands and do the count down in the MUTS screen. Loads of fun to be had by all

As entertaining as this has been, I'm surprised that my 'issue' with the Medallion hasn't been brought up on this thread.  We were just on the Crown Princess which has the Medallion fully installed and were NOT thrilled with the 'locking' aspect of the Medallion.  When we'd leave the room it would take forever for the door to lock.  By 'forever' I mean probably 30 seconds.

And yes, I know that often the hallways are deserted but sometimes they're not and it's very obvious when your door is locked and unlocked by the screen.  Has anyone else noticed how long it's taken for the Medallion to lock your door when you leave?

After your door shuts on a Medallion ship it locks immediately. ou hear it make a click sound after its shuts.

I’m sorry but don’t know what this answer means. I’m correct about what?

I was asking a question about the best rate for Medallion Net.

Yes you're correct that Medallion bet us indeed cheaper when you get onboard. like the others have mentioned if you're platinum or Elite it's 25% off the pre-boarding price that you see online. so in my opinion it's best to wait and do it the first day you get on board the ship to purchase it.

I have not seen any great reviews on it. The merchandise is limited and you can not see anything until you join. I would rather just stay with Amazon and not worry about another rewards site. I like the 1 or 2 day delivery.

Agree 100%. besides the very limited variety offered through the website (nothing that I would actually order). They do price match with competitor websites like Walmart and Amazon. But the big kicker for me is that Amazon Prime with fast quick delivery. You can have a book hotels through this rewards site. The idea behind it is nice I have to free membership but once again when you're limited on options theres not much use for it

We were on a holiday cruise a few years ago (Island Panama Canal) that was over both Christmas and Chanukah. The staff was very accommodating - we had the chapel every night for a short passenger led Chanukah service with an electric menorrah, latkes, and all the trimmings. The staff really doesn't know much about Chanukah traditions (e.g they brought us a challah), but they are more than willing to get you what you ask for. We requested jelly donuts, and the next night we had them. They even created little Chanukah bags for us with different Chanukah themed decorations and stuff. The photography staff went out of their way to create Chanukah themed backgrounds for the photos. This past year we did a holiday cruise to Hawaii and Chanukah was over by the time we got on the ship, so there wasn't any type of Chanukah celebration.

Yes, for Hanukah it's very low-key where they usually have a menorah by the passenger services desk and a very small area decorated for it. Had the same experience with potato latkes and jelly donuts. The hotel manager who I was friendly with was really nice and even make sure I had a platter of potato latkes sent to my cabin with a side boat of applesauce, After he asked me how did they do with them and I said job well done. He was happy to hear. The small simple gestures to help keep holiday traditions going while onbored they do get a nice A+ from me.

On the CB it is called the World Fresh Marketplace (WFM) and has a new layout versus the older HC format.  It is much easier to maneuver and get the food you want.  The new dessert counter is really nice with a much better selection that I probably not need to visit.  Some of the selections available are different in some cases.  The Caribe area has been changed to a seafood and BBQ at night but during the breakfast offers eggs/omelets cooked to order and at lunch stir fry/Mongolian BBQ which we loved.  They now have prepared sandwiches in cardboard trays available at lunch which is a nice touch.

Oh, don't forget the ramen noodle station which alternates daily with the stir fry/ Mongolian beef station. Just like The omelette station I like the make it your own touch personalization

Yes I did notice that. I figured they got complaints it was missing from Sky so they put it back. Who knows.

I love that they got complaints and listened before they both even came out.

I'm glad they have Crooners but I'll sure miss Vines.

I know. I agree. it's weird because on the deck plans Vines is still listed as one of the public areas on Deck five even though it's physically not on the map. I know that salty dog gastropub is taking over its location, so I'm not sure why it's listed.

  13. Has anyone else noticed on the deck plans that the Enchanted has Crooners? But for whatever reason they couldn't seem to readjust the layout on the Sky to squeeze Crooners in like the Enchanted. Hmmm 🤔 I wonder why. I always find Crooners to be a nice relaxing place to listen to music. I especially like when they have duo violinist entertainers performing there. Very nice ambiance.

  15. Yes, if you don't like doing the patter view your phone they still have hard copies that they put in your cabin each night and if you are one who turns into bed early at night they will just slip it underneath your door. Few weeks ago on the CB when I was with my dad, our cabin steward was very sweet and left two patter is one for each of us. You can also still get them at the passenger services desk as wet.

  16. I've been doing Christmas and New year's onboard princess for the past 10 years. They do such a lovely job. The ship is fully decked out with beautiful decor throughout the ship. lots of Christmas trees, and Garland. Yes they do have Christmas carolers on the ship they do fake snow in The Piazza. They have the crew members and the guests all together sing Christmas carols in The Piazza area. There's gingerbread house competitions. For kids they have Santa come out and they usually give each child a gift. Christmas Eve they do read the story The night before Christmas and The Piazza in the evening. They do a Christmas Mass on bored if you want to attend. They put on a Christmas show on the theater. It's generally just a very happy jolly Time on board the ship.
