  1. Hi ncl cruisers...maybe you could enlighten me...should i pre pay the gratuities now and avoid 200 dollars for 2 people....or should I get the SDP to save on a la carte pricing...I plan on spending for 4 people at teppanyaki and for 2 at le Bistro...thanks so much...

And Last request is that if I did get the 3rd and 4th person free deal, do I have to pay gratuities for them as well....Thanks so much :D

  2. well there are many things to learn.....

starting with this forum, search for best things to do in Cuba and GSC...

Then, find out all you can by searching the ncl community forum and reviews for recent opinions of the Sky...

also, make sure you don't book as soon as school or university is over...as you might get a lot of young ones running around drinking and vomiting to their hearts content since drinks are free on the sky...

Lastly, if you are going as a family, I would reconsider this cruise, book on longer ones or get a suite if its available

  3. Hi all...I am sailing with 4 adults including me in an oceanview cabin....whats a fair bid to move up to balcony specifically...I bet 100 dollars per persons for the first two adults ....I am trying to surprise those who are coming with me and I know this topic has been covered several times...just trying my luck...thanks

  4. I agree too that rather than give an arm and a leg for something worth the price of a single extra passenger for a family of 4, I rather tip my "vacation heros" personally....

when I was in the haven, I made sure to tip those that went out of their way to make my vacation memorable...

just curious, has anyone had any success in the refund if you mail them in....thanks

  5. Just had a look at the dining for our star trip in May and Teppanyaki is not showing. Is this normal for Teppanyaki or does it mean it's sold out?

    All other specialitys show up.

Not really...I heard from my TA that they only book for 50 percent online and 50 percent booking on the ship...so u still might have a chance...

but on the other hand, only one table in the teppanyaki on the star is just too tight

  6. Hi all...how much is the wine package...

from what price does it start and for how many bottles..

do we choose the wine or select from a list...

can we take it all over the cruise ship...

I did a quick search for this but I could not find a specific price....is it offered on the ncl gem..please help

  7. to the original OP...do a quick search of the general ncl forum using the word "specialty" and you will get many hits....

otherwise, in the le bistro I personally prefer their escargot so much, i eat that multiple times.

  8. Hi Cruisers...When it comes to cheap gourmet dinners, you can't beat a cruise...so i arranged a list of the best food from each and every restaurant...with the exception of ocean blue, pinchos tapas or food republic..feel free to add further items...and keep in mind, ncl makes slight changes to the menu every spring...also, ncl attempts to recreate the local dishes which are usually great to try (conch fritters in the carribean)...
