Pre-covid, Royal had worked out a very efficient system for MTD. Yes, there were teething problems in the beginning but we have done MTD almost since its inception without problems in the main. NOW, I agree with other posters - they have changed their model and it is simply not working. Initially we thought it was just the ship we were on but the problem is too widespread for this to be the case. People are slowly adapting and the problem is improving. We moved our reservations 15 minutes later and that seemed to be enough to avoid the peak problem. It is not ideal and it means we are dining almost as late as second sitting, which we could have chosen if that was what we wanted to do. The spontaneity and flexibility is sadly not there presently and we HOPE this is just a temporary glitch in something that had been working well. Obviously it was changed for a reason - lack of staff, tables, whatever. hopefully it is something they can work through.

Did you want Hibachi? - i have used Diamond plus BOGO for hot rocks in the past although I know there are limited venues for that now, or has that changed? I thought only Hibachi/teppanyaki and Chefs table weren’t allowed.

If you are really meaning Cozumel (because I saw you asking earlier about Costa Maya) what type of excursion are you looking for? Do you actually want a tour to somewhere, or are you asking if you can get a taxi to a beach or something? What type of activity are you actually looking for? Do you just want to go somewhere to snorkel from shore (no beach) or a boat snorkel? Again, which pier are you docking at - it can make a difference to budget.

Good idea - might be worth a try sometime. I prefer some of the items on the lunch menus, although we don’t usually eat big lunches. I will confirm that Chops on Adventure are very accommodating and excellent service. I requested a lunchtime option for dinner and was given a dinner entrée size.

In Cozumel? Are you sure you have the right port? Which pier?

No concierge lounge only suite. There was an overflow Pinnacle lounge in the card room. The Loyalty ambassador was doing double duty. Not sure if that is continuing. ETA: The coffee machine in the Diamond lounge broke early on the repositioning cruise and equivalent coffees were available on the promenade.

Maybe a glitch or try a third party site. I never go through the Royal site it is too long winded.

Actually they do have paper copies on Adventure but I agree it is easy to peruse in advance on the app.

Also take into account port days and whether you will be drinking off the ship.

Onward flights to US are of no concern to Royal. You should check the website of the airline you are flying.

OK from the vegan menu or just by special request? The salad looks good - I would give the gazpacho a miss looks too much tomato.

Used to be about $25 for up to 4 people each way. I don’t think prices have officially increased but check on the board at dispatch and with your driver before leaving.

Hopefully the baggage handlers have learnt to read numbers since last sailing. Our bags, along with those of many other people, were in completely the wrong section and it was chaotic in the baggage hall. Lots of 12 and 17 found in 46.

It is annoying - we had entertainment change locations without updates and time changes as well. If they are going to have an app they need to learn to utilize it.

Posted suggestions above. Keep in mind Mahahual is one long bay with a malecon (pedestrian way) that runs the length. Beach clubs are one after another, elbow to elbow and you will have access to the activities from any of them from third party vendors. You can choose PAYG or AI, although sadly beach clubs are favoring AI model to try and keep you at one location - better for them, not so good for sampling! The only other beach clubs/small hotels restaurants are along a semi- made up road out of town, like Maya Chan. There is Almaplena, Hayhu, Maya Luna, Luna de Plata. You can check out websites but not sure any will be any more suited to teenagers than what you will find on malecon. Bacalar excursions may offer more options but it is a considerable ride away. Also keep in mind this is sargassum season and it has been bad so far this year.

Not sure the Canadians will be too keen on US citizens using their country as a stepping stone after the big $$ they have had to pay to get home until recently. Do you mean you have changed your flights already to avoid testing, or you intend/intended to change them if you test/tested positive ?

Are you saying people traveled and didn’t know they had to test, or they were surprised they tested positive and didn’t have insurance, or plans?
