Good news: The macular hole has closed! 👏 So-so news (but not bad news): The opaque lines I see may be scar tissue from the cataract surgery. Which is kind of normal? The gas bubble may be pressing on it. After the gas bubble goes away, if it’s still there the ophthalmologist can laser out the scar tissue. Thank you everyone for the well wishes. 😘

I’ll only work for a few hours this morning then I’m seeing the doctor for my eye. Up until Tues, my vision field above the gas bubble was clear (not crisp) but now I’m seeing some opaque lines? Almost looks like a reflection or something. Hard to describe. I’ll be back later to report what the doc says. Prayers 🙏 for the Care List and Cheers 👏🎉 for the Celebration List. Eye update: Had a pressure check this afternoon. It’s lower 👏 so the glaucoma drops are working. Doc says to keep doing what I’m doing (use both eye drops, canNOT lay on my back, tip my head back and look up, or go higher than 2k feet in elevation). He’ll see me again in 4 weeks.

I once sailed HAL over April 1st. All of the day-of-the-week rugs were a different day! 😄

We’re all having steak! 😄 (Corrected it just in time.)

I am traveling with family and friends in 4 cabins. We all have HIA. Each cabin made PG reservations. Once onboard we will tell the PG we’d like to be seated together.

You learn something new every day. 🙂 I usually go to the casino and play that game. 😉

Thanks for the HAL fleet report and all the daily information. I slept for almost 9 hours last night! 👏 Could have slept longer but the alarm to take my eye meds went off at 6am. Usually I get up around 4am so I probably needed to catch up. 😉 I’m not comfortable driving yet. My brother almost freaked out when I said I’d wear a pirate patch to drive. You lose your depth perception looking out of just one eye. So I asked my boss if I could telework today (I usually go in tithe office on Mondays and Tuesdays). Since I worked a full day and have a nail appt this afternoon (postponed from last week), I haven’t had time to read the Fleet Report/Daily. I’ll be back to read all the posts later. Thank you all for caring and sharing. Prayers 🙏 for everyone who needs them. Cheers 🎉 for all the celebrations.

Eye update: Gas bubble is still there, more so than usual and they could not get a scan of my eye. Pressure is high so he gave me glaucoma drops (temporary). Prednisone is cut to twice a day. I need to have the pressure checked next week. Drum roll please 🥁: I don’t have to be face down any more! I still canNOT lay on my back, or tip my head back and look up. I can drive if I’m comfortable (I’ll wear the pirate patch), and go back to work. Still cannot go higher than 2k feet in elevation. Thanks for your concern and prayers. I can’t wait to go to bed tonight! 😴

If it’s just one night, I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Do as others have said and eat at the Lido or maybe flexible seating (maybe try specialty dining). Try to let the maitre’d know you’ll be late or not at all. If it’s going to be several nights, then switch to Anytime Dining.

I get mixed up, too. I think I need to make a spreadsheet for the Daily family. 😉 Hahaha my mom would do the same thing! But we knew if she did get to the dog, she would start laughing and then not be as mad. I see the surgeon this afternoon. I’m hoping he says I don’t have to keep my head down (my neck/shoulders need a massage) and that I can sleep on my side. 🤞
