I just figured out I didn’t read ANY of yesterday’s Fleet Report and Daily. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Not sure why, I guess I just spaced out. Happy Monday! It’s supposed to be a few degrees cooler so not triple digits. Air quality getting slightly better 140 orange (unhealthy for sensitive groups). As of an hour ago, the nearby fires are 98%, 85%, 50%, and 35% contained. Thank you firefighters! Going back to read yesterday’s Fleet Report & Daily, then I’ll be back to read todays so I won’t be confused.

We have 4 maybe 5 fires in the area. We’re safe but there are evacuation orders and warnings for a couple of them. Air quality was up to 204 “unhealthy.” I’ve never seen it in the purple range. 😱 I attended a funeral earlier today but now staying indoors. Plus it’s very hot. 🥵

DH came home yesterday from a visit with his brother and sis-in-law in Arizona (they live in the “mountains“ elevation 6K ft). So I finally turned on the AC. 👏😁 I had a doc appt this morning to go over labs, etc. Everything is status quo, no changes needed to meds or supplements. Don’t need to see her again until Jan. 👍 I like steak fries with guacamole. 😋 Thank you all for caring and sharing. Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for the Celebration List. A little excitement(?) this afternoon. There was a fire 1/4 mile from work (resin plant?) so at 1pm the directors evacuated the building just in case the fire came our way. We could see the smoke and smell it as we left. (On the way home I stopped to have lunch at a favorite Italian restaurant. 😋) CalFire UPDATE 2:00 p.m. #RiderFire - The forward rate of spread has been stopped. Several outbuildings and vehicles were destroyed in the fire. Update from work: It was not the resin plant. A Buddhist retreat burned down. 😟 Lots of fire trucks (30!), helicopters (3), airplanes (2), etc. Took them about an hour to get it under control. Back to work tomorrow (for those on-site).

I have a cruise in December. Booked a massage in March. Shorex didn’t open until June.

😘 We all need to help each other. On our cruise in Feb on NCL Encore, mom and I took an excursion that included a boat ride and open bus. I’ll always be grateful to the other passengers (and the boat tour guides) who were very patient and helpful getting DM (in a wheelchair) on and off the transports.

Saw my mom and some other family members for lunch today. Some of us live far away (FL and NorCal) so we don’t get together that often. So I’m glad we were able to make today work. After that there there was some stoopid drama with another family member. But it’s all good now. Well, my Vegas trip is cancelled. Now I need to decide if I want to reschedule to Sept… or go on the Westerdam to Alaska. A GF and her hubby are booked on the Westie Sept 3, but solo rates aren’t that great plus there’s the flight and possibly hotel. But my other GF really likes Vegas. Decisions, decisions. Thank you all for caring and sharing. Prayers for everyone who needs them. Cheers for all the celebrations.

I couldn’t make out the entire speech. “He said if repairs are completed tonight and approved we would leave sometime tonight. Either way next update is in the morning with revised itinerary based on departure time”

Thank you for the HAL fleet report and all the daily information. Fireworks were going off until midnight, and I heard 2 this morning. 😳 Well, I made it through the hot spell without turning on the AC. We open the house at night and have box fans blowing the cool air in, closing up the house in the morning. The next heat wave (triple digits!) is next week and we’ll probably need to turn on the AC. My condolences and prayers for her and her family and friends. 🙏 Great news! Hope he continues to make progress. It’s strange, neighborhood fireworks have been fewer the last couple of nights. Either the police are getting a handle on the idiots, or the idiots are saving them up for tonight. 🤔

I think all the planning is done for my cruise on the Nieuw Statendam. Specialty dinners booked, shorex booked, spa appointments made. Now to just (not so patiently) wait for December! My GF and I have a trip planned for Las Vegas in a couple of weeks. We’ve made some preliminary plans (meals, spa, bingo) but we haven’t been able to finalize them. My GF was traveling (went to visit grandkids) and is now very ill, but she says we’re still going as the trip will make her feel better. Thank you all for caring and sharing.
