It looks like a very nice hotel. I was doing a price comparison by making a mock booking for Fri Apr 18 2025 (comparing to our stay on Fri Apr 19 2024). It is a bit pricey although I am sure it fluctuates. Here was their cheapest room:

Yes, I believe there has only been one report that I know of.

After virtually no live threads or reviews on any Galapagos cruise for a long time, quite a few of them have been published since November.

Here is a first hand account that was posted on April 30th!

The other bizarre thing specific to our sailing is that Celebrity's computers can't handle the fact that we are crossing the international date line and thus is charging us for only 16 nights (16x $27.99 = $447.84) when our cruise is actually 17 nights long. Fri Apr 18th occurs on two consecutive days during our cruise. This international date line problem shows up in other ways in our Cruise Planner.

I saw this in my Cruise Planner. When did Basic Wi-Fi come back (ala carte) after having been removed last year (link)?

However I have not actually heard of anyone getting OBC let alone using it on Xpedition.

And there is even hidden fine print. Other shore excursions that are excluded include some that are classified as "High Demand Tickets" which appears to be defined as 60% booked or more.

I skipped the long video, but I can say that we did a MoveUp to AQ for the first time ever on Solstice last December and I ordered something off the MDR menu every evening when we dined at Blu. Nice service and ambiance but I didn’t care for the food as much.

For comparison: the 5 night specialty dining package for our Apr 2025 Solstice sailing is $270 without any discounts (plus the 20% gratuity that is charged when you make the purchase). The list prices for the individual restaurants are the same as what you listed except for The Porch because Solstice does not have that restaurant.

If you look at my screenshot on my last post, you can see that the Check In date is declared.

Try this: Go to the home page and click on your name. You should get a dropdown box that includes an option to "Manage Reservation". Click on that and you will get a list of your cruises (below). The cruise you are interested in should have a "Check In" button.

Click on "Manage Trip" in the upper right hand corner of the main Celebrity web page--it will give you a drop down box which includes "Check-In" as an option. That is one way to get there.

I am down to one future sailing (Apr 2025 TP on Solstice) and it is not among the listed sailings. I hope you have better luck.

When you are photographing the aurora, you alternately marvel at what you see in the sky and then you admire what you captured on your camera's LCD screen. Here is my naked eye vs photo comparison and explanation. 1. Brightness. The aurora was definitely much dimmer to the naked eye. Looked like a moon lit cloud at best. 2. Colors. The aurora colors were dull and muted to the naked eye. You could make out the colors with your eye, but the colors in the photos are a lot more vibrant. To me the aurora looked gray-ish with light shades of red and green. My wife and I are in our 60's and there were 6-10 students from the University of Wisconsin (Madison) campus with us at any one time. When I was listening to them, it seemed like they could pick out the colors more readily than my wife and I could thereby proving that not only is youth wasted on the young, but so is eyesight. 3. Shape. The aurora definitely looked more diffuse to my eyes however I could make out the general shapes but I could not see the immediate changing of shape (noticed it over time) or any shimmering. When I rolled down my car window in a neighborhood street to get my first look (my eyes were not very dark adapted), you could see the aurora hanging down from the sky like a curtain. However the photos show the overall shape much better as well as the shapes of the colors within the aurora. One memorable view was looking directly up above me in a brightly lit parking lot at what I later learned to be an aurora corona (my last two photos in my post). While the camera definitely shows it better, with your eyes you could easily make out something--gray--that was unworldly, ghastly, and surreal. It looked like some kind of gigantic mythical bird was forming out of the sky above and it was about to come for me (in a bad way). 4. Size/Expanse. Although the light gathering ability of the camera sensor reveals "more" aurora, what was unmistakable to the naked eye that night was the sheer expanse, wide coverage, large scale, and humongous size of the entire aurora display--it covered much of the whole sky in all directions. It was as memorable as it was amazing--something your eye could take in but the camera failed to adequately capture. 5. Stars. It is much more evident in the photos, but it was impressive for me to see with my own eyes how the stars shine through the aurora undimmed--something that makes it unmistakably different than a cloud. My wife and I did the Southern Loop Xpedition sailing in an Xpedition Suite (502) this past Nov. Here is the live thread that I posted. The suite air conditioner was just fine. Except for a bug we caught right after the cruise, the trip went very well. Celebrity did an excellent job. The trip is expensive, but we got what we paid for and more.

I did look at the S class cabin sticky and I clicked on the large spreadsheet and found your Eclipse cabin listed (1642). It said that it was one of nine cabins with the vent over the balcony. Until I saw your post and then the spreadsheet, I didn’t know that such a thing existed!
