Typically you will need a notarized letter from you authorizing your husband to take the kids on the ship and ashore. However the requirements are not uniform nor universal. Therefore you need to find out what the requirements are from Celebrity (for them to allow you on the ship) and each individual country that your husband will be taking them to. If your husband and kids are flying to a foreign port to start the cruise, the airline may also have a requirement.

Yes, that was the last PUP opportunity. Here is the list of PUP opportunities since the beginning of 2002 to date. The dates show when the points were awarded.

We have sailed out of Sydney twice on Solstice. Once to the Great Barrier Reef (starboard side cabin) and the second time to New Zealand (port side cabin). Having done it both ways, I don't think it makes much of a difference which side of the ship your cabin is on. Perhaps the only consideration maybe is Sydney itself although even that consideration is not clear which side is better: 1. IF the ship is docked with its bow point towards Sydney (1st photo), then you will get a nice view of the Opera House from a port side cabin. Most of the time I see ships docked with their bow facing towards the center of Sydney however there are a few photos that show cruise ships docked with their bow pointed towards away from the center of Sydney. 2. When the ship sails away, the starboard side will get the close up view of the Opera House as as your ship sails past it. None of our port stops made it clear to me that a cabin on one side of the ship was better than the other including sailing into Milford Sound (2nd photo). All the port days at the Great Barrier Reef (3rd photo) are tendered and you are fairly far away from any scenery.

Celebrity November and Black Friday Event Flyer
mahdnc replied to mahdnc's topic in Celebrity Cruises
There should be a discount for three. The flyer simply gave numbers for four. -
If you are talking about Cruise till you drop's posting, South America is not listed in the post, but it is listed in the accompanying link which I presume was the source of information.

Taking our granddaughter off the ship in a Caribbean port
mahdnc replied to atmss123's topic in Family Cruises
You should definitely have a notarized letter of consent. I would definitely look into the requirements for each of the Caribbean countries that you are visiting. -
Darn, I thought the swan puffs were coming back.

I can’t imagine how discouraged and frustrated you must be. Your dates are pretty far out and so I’d think the chances of your requested dates being full is small. How many different date options did you give them?

It wasn't for our cabin and I didn't ask either. I agree with your guess.

Is the Constellation really a terrible experience?
mahdnc replied to mustgo's topic in Celebrity Cruises
I can't imagine that it has been taken down since we saw it a year ago. Besides, I am sure that Celebrity threw away the box that it came in.... -
There are so many Snoopy watch face animation clips (when you raise your wrist to read the watch) that most of the time they are ones I have not seen. Today there are special Halloween watch faces!

It is spread out between the two days with it concentrated the most around the evening of Christmas Eve and Christmas morning--if I remember correctly. Here is the Celebrity Today for Christmas Eve and Christmas 2019 (Solstice): Here are some Celebrity Today issues for the two holiday sailings: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1XshVZ-1Da6ti5f0pDL3NQ7V8uSvN2nz4/view?usp=drivesdk https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bGpGowLoG0nYCk6ps7NNtMzSx3hUtr-o/view?usp=drivesdk So far on our holiday cruises, formal night (aka Evening Chic) was the evening dress code assigned to Christmas Eve and New Years Eve.

Celebrity ships in the Galapogas, thoughts from previous cruisers
mahdnc replied to Poconolady's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Hello Cathy! Yes, I am planning on doing a live thread during this sailing--we will see how good the ship's internet connection is and how much time/energy I have at the end of each day. It's nice to know that someone will be interested though.
