Out of curiosity I looked at their website for Australian cruises, there was one cruise with cabins only available in interior cabins. Had to LOL and logged out.

I am sorry you came up to Brisbane the night before scheduled embarkation when you could have been comfortable in your home on the Gold Coast. It is good that you have booked B2B cruises so you can enjoy a longer cruise.

We had a similar experience when our flight was diverted from Buenos Aires to Montevideo, Uruguay due to a storm. Our plane sat on the tarmac with no English announcements. We made friends with a couple of Australian boys who ended up being on our table on our cruise to Antarctica. They became good friends on board. It is good that the three couples have palled up for support.

I'd love to be able to afford to go on that cruise. They are a wonderful company. You'll be able to check out the ship when she comes to Batesman Bay, Les. As there is obviously a high demand for cruising around Australia, I wonder why a medium size ship couldn't do a similar cruise with an interesting affordable itinerary.

I think she was staying at Ibis Budget Hotel at Windsor on a busy road. Spring Hill will be a definite improvement, where they can visit Brisbane Museum or museums and art galleries at Southbank.

Why would the ship be heading north? Is pilot on board?

I recall when the HAL World Cruise stopped in Freemantle due to Covid, passengers who booked Air through HAL had all bookings home taken care of. Passengers who had booked their own flights were on their own! Princess had enough time to get qualified staff in to help passengers with their unexpected change of accommodation plans in a city unfamiliar to them. When a flight from Madrid to Singapore was delayed, Singapore Airlines gave all passengers a boxed biro as an apology. When we arrived in Singapore we were met with desks full of staff ready to allocate passengers to hotel accommodation overnight. That is a level of service I won't forget! I m sorry you feel disappointed and let down by the lack of friendly service by Princess.

The advantage of Portside cruise terminal is, in addition to all the shops, it has a movie theatre to fill in the time,

Oh dear. Not a nice time for passengers on board nor passengers waiting to board. Brisbane weather forecast is 13" to 18" with rain, wind gusts and hazardous waves.

Does anyone know what time current passengers on Coral Princess are scheduled to disembark and what time new passengers are scheduled to embark? It is blowing a gale at the Gold Coast.

What a disappointment for your sister and BIL. Lucky they were given the choice to cancel. That trip by bus would have been a nightmare. I hope they receive a full cash refund. You may recall passengers on a Scenic River cruise weren't given a choice to cancel their cruise, although other companies offered refunds. Their cruise turned in to a nightmare bus trip. Passengers later sued the Company.

It is times like these you are glad you are in a midship cabin!
