  1. Currently in Horizons at happy hour. Day 9 of the cruise after restocking in Miami and they are out of ginger beer and clamato juice 🥤. No mules, no bloody Caesars. Slightly annoyed.
  2. Why can't O figure out how to log people off after a certain amount of inactivity like so many web sites do. This is the main source of slow internet, not enough free bandwith.
  3. One thing that needs to be improved on a full ship sailing, which this is, is lunch food availability hours. Terrace closes at 2:00 and Waves is open only until 3:00. So when hundreds of people come back after 2 and try to get something from Waves it can take over 30 minutes to get a burger. Terrace should be kept partially open longer, maybe just the salads and desserts.
  4. Dinner last night in Jaques. In at 6;30 out at 9:00 with a table of 4. Barely made the show.
  5. John something. He looks like Len Goodman from Dancing with the Stars. He's kind of blah. I don't really care much who the cruise director is on ships, doesn't affect me much.
  6. I'm also onboard now. My fave activity is trivia and it's not so good on this cruise. There have been no music themed trivia, just reading off questions. Each trivia is 15 questions, used to be 20.
  7. I'll let you know, the last 2 days of this sailing are sea days. One of the problems with free wifi is people log on, check their email or a few things, and don't log off. They stay connected all day. When you get limited time you will log off and on so as to not waste your minutes.
  8. As of today, in an outside cabin on Marina water pressure has been fine. We are mid ship deck 7.
  9. I am reading this and replying from Marina now, docked in San Juan . I'm on the ship wifi on my tablet. The internet is working fine on our cruise. While in port on my phone, I use Tmobile for data, a bit faster. O must have beefed up wifi in Miami.
  10. Try Windstar for small ships. I've enjoyed my 3 cruises with them.
  11. Talk to the shore excursion desk about this while you are on the cruise. I doubt it will do any good though since O is making fortune off the gullible pax who would book this kind of excursion. I agree with you, shame on Oceania. An example of corporate greed and hypocrisy.
  12. My husband 's new passport was just delivered so we will be on Marina Sunday Dec. 4. Doing a happy dance🥲
  13. My sister who lives in England said Brits have to have 9 months left on their passports toward the expiration date. We Yanks get a slightly better deal🤪
  14. I'm going for sure, hopefully with my husband. Nothing is going to stop me now🤩
  15. We don't even get a full 10 years of value out of our passport fee. What a rip off😜
  16. One less thing to carry around and possibly lose. I will be bringing a copy with me, I never carry the original around. Besides, almost no place requires seeing the card anymore or even requires vaccination other than some cruise lines.
  17. mauibabes: I already called Oceania and updated my passport information. My husbands' should show up tomorrow 11/28 per the tracking number from the State Department and I will call in his. Once this information is in the online check in form you cannot see if it is accurately entered by the O rep. I have to trust that they got it right and there are no problems at the terminal check in.
  18. I will have the vax cards with us to show if asked.
  19. Interesting wording printed in the passport If your passport expires within 6 months of your departure you may be denied entry into some countries.
  20. Half good news: my new passport showed up today Nov. 24. Still waiting on hubbies'. At least one of us will be on the cruise. I am not able to update the passport information in online check in. I will do it upon boarding.
  21. Do we need to bring our vax cards to show anyone? Since the box is checked that says vaccinated, is having the card in hand still necessary?
  22. That's what I thought. I wasn't sure how strict Oceania was being these days in light of my passport problem.
  23. Is it worth just wandering around the town in St. Vincents, anything to see? I'll be there in a few weeks from marina. I have a snorkeling excursion I the morning but nothing planned for the afternoon. Looking for tips as there is little info on the ports of call section of CC.
  24. O is sending me emails that says this: All guests are required to complete Online Check-In no later than 72 hours prior to sailing. What happens if you cannot check in online 72 hours before the cruise? I cannot complete it as I do not have a passport at the moment, so I cannot enter the passport information. Hopefully I will have it by the 72 hour mark but I may not have it until 24 hours before. Every other part of the online check in is completed, picture taken, safety video watched, credit card info entered.
  25. After all this angst and stress I REALLY need this cruise😌🍹🚢
