  1. Is the infant the 2nd person in the cabin or the 3rd? If the 2nd think of the pricing as solo adult at almost 200 percent or whatever they charge and then no charge for the infant.
  2. After our Alaska Explorer cruise was canceled 2 times we are now scheduled for same cruise on June 24, 2021. We have 3 cruises scheduled on NCL prior to that and one on Pearl Seas Cruise Lines on August 21, 2021. Will be a busy spring and summer if we can get to cruising again. I'm OK with needing to wear a mask and social distancing and if we need to stick with cruise line excursions. Also have a trip planned to Hawaii in December with brother and sister-in-law. We will see if that is a go or gets canceled.
  3. We have 5 cruises booked for 2021 and are hoping all 5 are a "GO". Would rather not wear a mask, but it's not a deal breaker for us. Social distancing is not an issue as we do not like crowds. We normally spend a lot of time in our suite enjoying the ocean from our balcony and reading or listening to audio books. We do wish that cruise lines would video the entertainment in the main show lounge and the educational presentations and then show them later on the TV in staterooms/suites. This way it could keep the show lounge less crowded and those who do not attend can still enjoy the entertainment.
  4. Our Alaska Explorer cruise next summer is now labeled as "Eagle Society Cruise" on ACL website. Doanes anyone know what might be different? I cannot find info on their website that describes anything different, or in doing a internet search. Thanks for any info.
  5. The July 23, 2020 cruise was also suspended. We are now booked for same cruise June 25, 2021.
  6. Just received notice that our July 23rd Alaskan Explorer cruise has been suspended. Now to work at re booking for in 2021.
  7. We were scheduled for Alaskan Explorer cruise on June 26th that was canceled. We re booked for the same cruise on July 23rd. So far we are a go, but they could still cancel. I think the state of Alaska is still requiring a negative test taken within 72 hrs prior to flight departure. That could be a problem as our tests have to be sent from Western Colorado to Denver across the mountain. That adds another day to the time it takes to get results back. And the test is only done Monday - Friday, we fly from Grand Junction on Tuesday morning. To get the swab done on Friday would be over the 72 hrs. To get it done on Monday might mean we would not get results back before arriving in Juneau, Alaska. We will spend one night in Seattle as we change airlines there. And one night in hotel in Juneau prior to the cruise. Hoping we will get results back while in Seattle.
  8. This morning we received an email from American Cruise Lines that our Alaska cruise is suspended. They are giving us 125% in future cruise credit. We are in the process of booking this same cruise departing on July 23, 2020, in a higher category. I have canceled our 2 hotel nights and flights with 2 different airlines. I am waiting until new cruise is booked to contact INS to get it switched to the new dates.
  9. BaumD Thank you for your link. I printed it up to take with us. Joyce
  10. I phoned our local County Health Dept. and things look much brighter that we will be able to go on our cruise. They are doing the tests Mon. - Fri., 9am - noon. No Dr. order required, doesn't matter if no symptoms, and the test is free. That local hospital said $372 per test. The tests are sent to the State Lab in Denver. Anyway they said test results within 24 - 72 hrs and usually 24 - 48 hrs. We do need to set up an appointment but to just phone them a day or two before we want to take the test. Ya!!! Only possible issue is that they phone the results to you and then we will need to request results via email so as to have printed proof.
  11. We received email from ACL sent on 6/4/2020 at 5:45pm informing us about the required test with a link to click on to https://covid19.alaska.gov/travelers/ for further info. Went to a form: STATE OF ALASKA Department of Health & Social Services TRAVEL DECLARATION FORM MANDATORY DECLARATION FORM FOR INTERSTATE TRAVELERS
  12. The PVR Covid-19 test must be done within 72 hrs (3 days) of departure. My DH and myself are scheduled to go on the June 26th sailing round-trip Juneau and the cruise is a go. We are excited to go and will pay cash if need be to get the test. My Dr. already sent the order to a local hospital lab for me to have the test done. So I decided to phone the lab today and ask some questions. It seems they send the test out and it takes 3 - 5 business days to get the results - so now we are past getting the results back to meet the 72 hr time frame. We would need to take the test 7 days prior to arrival in Alaska to be sure and get results back. On Monday I will phone our County Health Dept. and a larger local Hospital Lab to see if they say the same thing about the turn around time. I might also phone the State of Alaska to explain the time issue and to see if there is anyway we could take the test 7 days prior to arrival in Alaska. Our county here in Western Colorado has only had 61 positive Covid-19 cases, zero deaths, and no current hospitalizations. We do still wear masks when going shopping and wash our hand. We want to go on our cruise but sadly might have to cancel.
  13. We received a phone call from American Cruise Lines about a week ago that our cruise is to happen. Our Alaskan Explorers cruise which was to start on June 26, 2020 with a hotel stay the night prior will now start with going directly to the American Constellation from the airport. I'm not clear on if we sail on June 25th or wait in Juneau until June 26th for any passengers not arriving a day early. Which ever it is is fine with us. Just happy to be cruising again. We were on the last full HAL Rotterdam cruise just prior to it being canceled 2 days into the cruise after we debarked. My NCL round-trip Rome, Italy cruise with my daughter and granddaughter for June 7th was canceled.
  14. The previous post about ADC and Liveaboard confuses me. Does this have anything to do with American Cruise Line?
