  1. Is the Getaway round trip Rome on 6/7/20 for 11 nts. on the list? Thanks for the info.
  2. We are booked on the Rotterdam for back to back Panama Canal cruises in February 2020. Have not received any word about a ship change. Rotterdam still showing on HAL's booking website. The Statendam was sold a few years ago and is no longer a HAL ship.
  3. You wrote that you are bringing your own wine. I may have missed it, but you are allowed 1 standard blt. of wine per adult and this is to be drank in you cabin/suite. Any wine over that, or if you wish to take a room btl. of wine to a dining room, you will be charge a "corkage fee" of I believe $18 per btl. This is charged against your OBC. In the port before boarding the ship there will be a table where you show your wine and they issue you a sticker for each bottle and write you a receipt for the charge.
  4. We have had some Neptune Suites where the desk area was on the wall with the sofa just past the angled counter with the plant. We have been in a Neptune Suite on Maasdam 3 times but I cannot remember if it was this ship or a different one.
  5. We are in a Neptune Suite on upcoming cruise. Currently scheduled for main seating which we choose prior to "Club Orange". Do we need to change to anytime seating in order to be able to go to Club Orange? We will be on the Rotterdam in Feb. if that makes any difference. Thanks for the information.
  6. No, America Cruise Lines does not have any ships that cruise the Great Lakes. There is a cruise line called Pearl Seas Cruises that is owned by the same company which currently has 1 ship, Pearl Mist. We were able to book a Great Lakes & Georgian Bay cruise with them while onboard America. We received the same 15% discount and port fees & taxes are waved the same as the America Cruise Lines Alaska cruise that we book while onboard. They do not share the same rewards program (wish they did) so will not have all complimentary tours on the Great Lakes cruise.
  7. Yes, they provide distilled water free of charge. We have only been on Queen of the Mississippi, American Spirit, and America. There was an outlet beside the bed down low towards the floor on America. I do not recall where the outlet was located on the two other ships/boats. We always carry a short extension cord so that I can also charge my cell at night and have it close to check time and turn off alarm in the morning.
  8. We very much enjoyed Christine on our March 2019 Hawaii/Tahiti cruise. 1st time we have had a CD that actually talked with the common folk and shared some of her and her family's lives. We and our traveling companions all had a lot in common with her. Would love to cruise with her again. A lot of cruises, unless you go to the Show room when they are introduced, you don't even know who the CD is. She is a much more relaxed, down to earth person and always out and about talking with people, checking to see if all is going well, or asking what can we improve upon.
  9. Just waiting until it's time for our 15nt. Grand Heartland cruise on America, August 24, 2019. This will be our 4th on this line. We have done other USA river cruises on other lines. And lots of ocean cruises. We are hoping we can book and get a discount for booking onboard, a Pearl Seas cruise to Great Lakes.
  10. Has anyone booked a cruise on PEARL SEAS CRUISES while on board an AMERICAN CRUISE LINES cruise and have you gotten a discount? Thanks in advance for the information.
  11. As of 2/2018 no stevia. Have been on NCL & Princess since then and no stevia. I always bring my own as I prefer my "green" sweetener. All lines seem to have white, pink, yellow, and blue sweeteners. Most have brown (raw sugar) and packets of honey.
  12. My DH and I have been on the Queen of the Mississippi 2 times. We are booked perhaps on the same cruise as you. America on 8/24/2019. Most food is quite good. You will be given a menu card at breakfast to choose what you wish to eat for lunch and dinner on that day. You will have a choice of 1/2 entre if you wish to eat less (and not feel so guilty for having dessert). If you change your mind later or cannot remember it's not a problem, they are just wanting an estimate of how much of each item to prepare so as not to waste to much food. I try to remember to take my cell to breakfast and take a pic of our menu cards after filling them out. Lunch and dinner both have beer and wine offered and sometimes people request a mixed drink or after dinner liqueur. This is at no additional charge. There is an hour long happy hour just prior to dinner at which is no additional cost. If you want something that they do not have, they will probably have it after the next port. They will have talks about the area you are visiting. There will be entertainment each evening, usually 1 - 4 people. Sometimes games in the afternoon with prizes (no additional charge). There will be at least 1 tour in each port that is included and sometimes 1 or more that has an upcharge.
  13. Are the laundry bags paper or fabric? When I was on NCL Star in 2011 the bags were paper. I always travel with duct tape which I used to reinforce the bags as it would tear easily.
