  1. Spotted this at the bar - nice option for folks that don’t drink that much!
  2. Obviously, DS and I had to go sit at the pub and play a few rounds of Flux. My favourite bartender Putu was there and as great as always. Tonight is lobster night - DD went to get pizza, and DS and I went to Park Cafe (I’m officially addicted to those sandwiches).
  3. I came back to this! Wow! What a surprise and treat. I definitely was not expecting it, and not necessary but really appreciate the service, follow up, and acknowledgement! Officially impressed! Thank you RC!
  4. Pray for me (assuming you mean Oasis, not 70s night on the ship) 🤣
  5. Tonight is dress to impress / 70s. I’m not sure those two things go together. In our other world, both DD and I are so stressed right now as Oasis tickets for their reunion tour in the UK go on sale tomorrow (like 3am in this time zone) and it coincides with our UK trip next summer so we HAVE to get tickets. Apparently they’re as hot as Taylor swift..,
  6. DS has just discovered shrimp (neither DD nor myself eat seafood outside of fish). He is obsessed. Everything today was shrimp and he said it was fabulous!
  7. Am I the only person here that didn’t know there was an escalator on this ship?
  8. Hello from Paradise (Beach that is). What a great day - thunder rolled through, but no rain for us!
  9. Is it 21 on all sailings? I find the whole drinking age concept confusing. I grew up in the UK where you can drink at 18 but really 16 is acceptable. I now live in Canada where it’s 19. Yet in America it’s 21. We are in Mexico today ;I believe legally it’s 18 here) but my 17 year old has been offered alcohol several times. I actually have zero issue with her drinking as I trust her 💯 to not abuse it. I feel like the problems really start with it being “forbidden “…
  10. I have shenanigans to report (not mine sadly) but will need to do so elsewhere…not going to get folks in trouble! Stay tuned!
  11. I stand corrected- it was Margaritaville at Sea. I’m interested in checking this one out - anyone had any experience?
  12. That’s what I want to know!!!! DS has a theory (he is 13 so loves this stuff) that if you sign up for their wifi you are giving them permission to track you (like find my phone almost) and monitor all internet and chat usage. I feel like they have much better things to do with their time but certainly appreciated the follow up regardless!
  13. We had a lovely, quiet breakfast at The Solarium this morning. I like this much better than the chaos of the buffet! Heading off to Paradise Beach momentarily.
  14. Good morning from Cozumel! Storm is but a distant memory and we are in spitting distance of Carnival something or other.
  15. I imagine the only way a bird could get in the room is if they left the room with the balcony door open…who knows? After I told them to quit the screaming they were quiet. I normally don’t get involved with other people’s kids - I’m a mom and I get it. Sometimes there are bad days, one off melt downs, you just don’t know what the situation is - if I have something to say I take it up with the parents. BUT this screaming was just too much and was not stopping. I do feel bad if there was something to their story, but screaming and running in and out wasn’t going to help matters!
  16. Ugh. So much for an early night. Since going to bed, we’ve had two full ship announcements looking for a passenger (hope she is ok) and then crazy screaming and yelling a couple of rooms down. I ignored it at first but it just kept going- I wasn’t sure if it was teens playing or someone in trouble. I eventually poked my head out and saw 3 teen girls screaming and running in and out of their room so I told them to be quiet. They replied “sorry. We have a bird in our room.” Sigh. I have no idea if that was actually true, but I immediately texted DD (who has been out until curfew every night) and let her know that if I ever found out she had been making that kind of noise around the ship she would be grounded.
  17. Decided to call it a night (earliest one by far this sailing). We have Paradise Beach tomorrow so hoping the weather improves. It’s quite windy and rainy right now but we can’t feel any ship movement at all!
  18. We are sailing into/through a lightning storm. The Aqua show has been canceled (happy I did walk in the other night as we had reservations for tonight), as has the teen flow rider session. There isn’t too much on this evening that we want to do, so currently chilling at Rising Tide. Sadly, it’s not rising as we appear to have sprung a leak!
