  1. I have been keeping this a secret until I got to my room, BUT remember how I booked the cheapest inside guarantee? I did end up with an inside…but this is an inside on steroids! It’s an accessible room that is more like a mini suite, complete with sofa and HUGE! Definitely shenanigan space! (More on that later)
  2. The cute sales guy tracked me down … ”Ms Tracey. I see you have the Premium package. Did you know for only $40 you can upgrade and get…” Take my money. I’m now upgraded!
  3. I broke with tradition and went to the dining room. It was excellent. I shared a table. So fun!
  4. Are you stopping in Victoria? If not, you will clear in Vancouver
  5. And just like that we are on the ship! 40 minutes from leaving the house!
  6. No US CBP as first stop is Victoria. I despise clearing in San Francisco but it is what it is
  7. I count four school aged kids so far. My kids refused to miss school to come. They love cruising but they also hate missing school. I wish I had their ethics.
  8. 10:10am - in a very short line for security. It opens at 10:30am so that’s something to consider if you come early. From experience I know the security line backs up fast so I would rather wait at the front for it to open!
  9. Hmmm…Alfredo’s or dining room for lunch? Alfredo’s is my tradition but…
  10. Left my house at 9:55. At the port, checked in, dropped bag by 10:08! Bag drop was upstairs today - I much prefer that! No lines!
  11. Funny story…I only recently learned about pineapple stuff (from my teen). The way I learned about it was because I bought my 12 year old son a very cute (or so I thought) shirt with pineapples all over it for a cruise we were taking. My teen was horrified! Needless to say, that shirt never got worn and was donated to the local Goodwill!
  12. Carry on bags - if they are in your cases you may get called to the naughty room on the ship
  13. Lucky may be the wrong word…I’m sure I would be financially stable if it weren’t so easy to just hop on a ship
  14. All my bags are packed and I’m ready to go…(no taxi waiting though - I’m walking)!
  15. Wake up y’all - it’s cruise day! It’s already been a stressful morning since I hit snooze and went back to sleep. This meant nagging my kids to get up, ready, and out so they weren’t late for school. It will be a miracle if they make it the rest of the week! Now it’s calm here, I’m doing the last of the laundry and planning on heading over to the ship around 10am. The goal is to be on, with drink in hand, by 11:30am. Think I can do it?
