  1. So sad how many adults behave now also- setting bad examples for their children and the children behave like bullies.
  2. I agree having sailed with kids- the two balcony cabins offer more privacy and two bathrooms- more comfortable for everyone.
  3. Varies depending on ship If you are on a edge class ship in an S3 the bed placement isn't the same as the S1 and S2 and the suite might feel a little crowded.
  4. Teenage boys should wear pants. If you go to Target get then each a couple of pairs- Unless 5 and 8 pants would be the better option. I also have teenaged grandsons and they understand that they should wear pants in the evening. Shorts fine all day.
  5. Definately a sky suite much larger then a balcony, AQ or concierge class cabin. Size of those cabins, except accessible is 243 sq feet. Smaller bathroom. The Sky suites are 397 square feet and more in accessible. We never ate in Blu as we had tried on previous ships- much prefered Luminae and specialty restaurants. Loved Eden and the Steak house.
  6. Not sure about points. But all other perk apply. Including a better location
  7. Actually concierge not a waste. You get extra points per day. Also a special lunch. The cabins are well located you get some upgrade cabin amenities
  8. yes- we enjoyed Grease, Mama Mia, Chicago and Hairspray our favorite! But as you say its personal taste.
  9. We were on the apex three times. Did one back to back. LOVE the suite life. The suite lounge is wonderful and the concierges and bartenders in the lounge are fabulous. The suite sun deck great- however lacks adequate shade seating. We enjoy the perks you get with the suite- priority boarding and disembarkation, Luminae service excellent- but do enjoy the specialty restaurants! The butler service is nice- the actual sky suite has a large cabin and the bathroom excellent. We prefer the S1 and S2 cabins, but the S3 look interesting. You are in for a real treat. Wonderful ship. Enjoy
  10. Having sailed on both- royal often, we definately prefer Royal . If you aren't in the Haven on NCL- very crowded, ship pools too small, not enough seating, poor layout- food meh- I highly recommend Oasis class on Royal. We didn't love the quantum class, Freedom class was also good- Older Royal ships also not great. Anxious to try the Icon next year. We also love the celebrity ships, solstice class and edge class.
  11. Cats is a stinker! Beautiful costumes and a waste of talent- so many other shows can replace it! Grease was very good. We enjoyed all other shows on Royal.
  12. Check out youtube. Not a true fridge if you have medication , speak to guest services. Same cabin as equinox and other s class ships. Enjoy
  13. We once got an upgrade on the Edge. As soon as we boarded, we ran to guest services. Paid for an upgrade at a greatly reduced rate. However, now ships seem to be sailing full= but worth a try-
  14. We like the idea of booking with celebrity. Our main reason is that we get the flights we would have booked with Delta as we can choose. We get the points from Delta. The best reason is that we do not have to pay until we pay for the cruise. Since we book cruises so far in advance, we get usually a better rate. You can cancel before you pay for the cruise without penalty-
  15. You are in for a real treat! Drink packages vary depending upon your sailing so you must look up when you make your reservation. Check in is easy- but you cannot check in on line until about 30 days before your cruise. The option will be on your on-line reservation. If your cruise is after the 4th of July, check the price of the drink package then. Typically the rates go down on holidays. However if you book at a higher rate, you can cancel and rebook. Enjoy your cruise.
  16. Just enjoy your cabin. So nice to spend time with family and friends-
  17. I agree about the dining and if we had to choose would do the same- However the suite perks and size of the cabin IMO worth the extra money- We love the suite lounge, deck on the edge class especially, and other perks- we even get a nice cash bonus for booking a suite-. Also breakfast in Luminae is much better then the MDR.
  18. They only offer a limited amount of these packages for sale. We purchase quickly after we book the cruise. You might be able to do on board if they still offer it. We are on a 9 night silhouette cruise and paid $329.99 pp. Good luck.
  19. If you have a drink package, you get coffee included at Cafe Al Baccio So worth it.
  20. We usually take the Unlimited package- even through we are in a suite. While the service in Luminae is great- we prefer dinner in the specialty restaurants, especially on S and Edge class ships. Cost will vary depending upon the ship, date of travel and length of cruise. IMO worth it, especially if you do not have access to the suite dining room.
  21. We also take the UDP. Sometimes the specialty restaurants rotate, so when you get on board your app will let you know which are open. You can also ask the guest services representatives or suite concierge if in a suite. Enjoy
  22. We stay in a CLS and do not recall any snacks in our stateroom. However you are on the floor of the coastal kitchen and suite lounge and can typically help yourself to food and snacks most of the day. The star class suites have a genie, who indulges star class guests with tons of snacks and food. Enjoy your cruise.
  23. We were on the Adventure last may. Since we are used to the Oasis class ships, it did disappoint. Our Jr. Suite was a rust bucket- in dire need of repair- the buffet reminded me of a school cafeteria. Food in MDR seemed rushed and not high quality. The entertainment wasn't like the Oasis class. We weren't impressed and will stick to the Oasis class ships- we are booked on the Icon and hope that will meet our expectations.
  24. We were in a suite but did try the MDR italian restaurant. It was good and the service such an improvement over the old banquet style restaurant. As far as specialties, We loved Eden- probably my favorite! We were disappointed in the grill. Expected it to be more like the lawn club grill on the Silhouette and Reflection= it wasn't. It is open and people were running back a fourth using the restaurant as a public walkway- nobody stopped them. It definitely interfered with our restful dinner. We also enjoyed Luminae, the suite restaurant. Tried all special restaurants, except sushi, which isn't to our liking. All others were fine. You should try a couple of specialty restaurants.
