  1. Thank you for adding your thoughts. Indeed your experience seems to be indicative. Looking forward to your review.
  2. Covid? There are no informations about the existence of case. There are basically no restrictions at all for passengers. Very simple embarkation without checking the vaccination status. No masks. No distancing. Packed tenders and sometimes elevators. Yet they still use Covid as an excuse for not holding any party or reception.
  3. The current week on the Queen Elizabeth is slowly coming to its end, thus I thought I share a few random notes. The daily programme has indeed a new format, as @rakkor pointed out earlier. The schedule is less informative than it used to be. The weather is much colder than to be expected at this time and it is very windy. Thus the pool has not gotten used very much so far. Yesterday there was the big band night in the Queens room. The combined orchestras performed wonderful and the dance floor was full. Generally the musical entertainment is unreliable. Especially I miss a good bar pianist in the Commodore club. The occasional pianist up there is not of the usual quality but most of the time one does not even get any at all but a guitarist or a duo or whatever.
  4. This is the Queen Elizabeth yesterday in Naples. Tiny little Queen Elizabeth to the monstrum docked next to us.
  5. Currently there are none on the QE. To the dismay of some who were told differently before.
  6. I feared it would be like this. Thank you for your answer again!
  7. Upon further reading, I see that the opening time of the place I would like to visit are rather short on Sundays, thus careful planning is more crucial. Do you have a time schedule for the hop on hop off bus or do you know where I can find one?
  8. Yes, that's the one. No, one was not able to get on and off.
  9. Cadiz itself has more than enough sights for a day, it is changing, historic city; Seville deserves a week or more, it is bigger and grander, albeit along ride from the port. If you research this forum you find a number of recent discussions. Motril itself has nothing to offer but beaches. If it is your only chance in your life you might like to take an excursion to Granada to see the Alhambra, but again it is a long ride. Alternatively you could visit some of the much more interesting villages close by.
  10. For walking and tapas the Born area is quite nice.
  11. I would buy timed tickets for the church directly from the official site. It can easily reached by public transportation, taxi or the hop on hop off bus. For the later check the official price and what your cruise line charges. There is a stop right at the world trade center where the port shuttle usually drops passengers off.
  12. In Marseille everybody had tickets in the cabin. No times given, just Show up. If one used the tickets one was charged.
  13. There is a free port shuttle just to the port exit. The shuttle most passengers use, goes to the city centre and is free or is charged for, depending on the cruise line and sometimes even how one booked. Sorry do not know about NCL
  14. Allright, from the first two options I would choose the second as Bergen and Flam give a broader Norway experience than the first option, Bergen being an important and historic city, Flam being the tiniest village with the change to enjoy great scenery. Same argument would hold for the third of the three "midnight sun" options, yet the second one has the big advantage of including Spitsbergen, if and that is an if you actually will have a port day and not only a sail by. More tricky is the question wheater to choose Norway only, which means you get to see the North Cape, or Norway and Iceland. Personally I would say that Iceland is more spectacular.
  15. Could you spell out the itineraries? Would help those people who are not familiär eith Princess' terminology.
  16. Right, if the single supplement was less, there was no need for single cabin. Back in time there was less than 50% supplement for Grill cabins in the QE2.
  17. Conjur with you and the following posters. Yet the OP asked specifically for a cruise line's private island.
  18. Not undeveloped but at least less developed is MSC's island. No amusement park and such.
  19. Indeed, in my experience, for the Domus Aurea early booking is essential while one is able to get admission to the bath on the spot. For the Via Appia Antica you might try a combination of bus and walking yet this requires a bit of advanced planning.
  20. What a scene. If she just had made it. I venture to say Halifax.
  21. Not saying there are no places like that, but as European I would say this is not the standard. When you talk about countries like Spain and Italy, these are very children friendly. There will not be space next to every table but in general it should be no problem.
  22. The official minimum connecting time is 75 minutes from T2 to T3.
