Agree. I even put a slam against RCI but erased it before I posted. We are due to sail on the 9th and were scrambling yesterday to make an appointment for our test.
Hope it all works out for you!!

To avoid testing confusion, it would be so much simpler if the cruise lines would just identify what testing day goes with what embarkation day.
The is the most logical thing to do. Therefore, that is NOT something Royal will ever do. It just isn't in their MO!!

We received an invitation Wednesday for the cruise leaving on Sunday. Was there an earlier batch of invites, or did they all go out this late. I wonder if we were in that “group B” just like those who get invited to a wedding late when a lot of the RSVPs are coming in “no“m
You are lucky.....we are group "Z"!!

We booked through Royal, and I have seen the price go down a bit during this current sale. My friend made the reservation…..am I allowed to call to reprice, or is she the only one allowed? I feel like because I didn’t book it, I am more antsy to participate and am worried I am making her do all the work when I could be doing the calling when I have time.
If your name is on reservation and you have booking number, you should be able to call as well!

Just wondering if anyone has received confirmation that they are on the August 1 simulation cruise on Indy out of Galveston. We responded to the request for volunteers two weeks ago with our info but haven’t heard whether we’d been chosen.
Please let us know if you get chosen and how it all goes!! Good luck!

We have a cruise booked on Liberty out of Galveston next March. We have never cruised out of Galveston before. I am starting to look at flights home after the cruise. I realize there are still some uncertainties after Covid but, what is the earliest time you would recommend for a flight from Houston after we disembark in Galveston?
Depends on which airport you will be flying from. If Hobby, which is closer to Galveston, you can probably do a little earlier, maybe 11, 1130 or so. If from Bush airport which is north of Houston, definitely allow more time to get up there. I think Royal usually recommends not booking flights till noon.
Also, fog can sometimes be an issue at that time of the year getting ships back into Galveston. One time we didn't dock till about 11am when they reopened the port.

So, is it safe to say that the person who came up with this idea is a "Blockhead"??

Still have my t-shirt from many years ago, though the size -S is a bit snug.
That is a major problem with cruising. The more times a shirt goes on a ship, the more it seems to shrink for the next cruise. I just don't understand why!

I thought I had one on Adventure in Sept 2019, but I'm probably confusing it with another cruise. 🙃
P.S. In addition to Park Cafe ships, they are also available in Two70 Cafe on most (all?) Quantum class.
That's good to know about being in Two70! Learn something new everyday!!

What is the current policy?
Varies from sailing to sailing and ship to ship.

They should be available at Cafe Promenade.
I have never seen them at Cafe Promenade....only on ships with Park Cafe. I have heard of them showing up from time to time on other ships, but not often.

They need to just let it go and accept that it was a tragic accident and stop trying to profit from it! That poor man has to live with this forever....punishment enough without continuing all of this!

It sounds like Capt Kate recognized how bad the deal was and brought it to someone's attention and they made correcions. Good for you. That's worth a well earned complimentary dinner for two w/ drinks if you ask me.
.....in the Oceanview cafe with 2 iced teas!

Just got a cancellation email from Royal for my April 26, 2022 booking on Quantum from Honolulu to Vancouver.
"Our original plan for Quantum of the Seas was to begin offering sailings departing from Brisbane, Australia beginning October 30, 2022. However, we’ve decided that Quantum of the Seas will remain in Singapore instead. Unfortunately, this means your sailing will be cancelled."
We booked the May 10 Rhapsody MIA to Rome anticipating losing our OZ and Hawaii cruises next year. Come on over and join us!!

Is there a dedicated, private space on Independence where they hold the Chef's Table dinners?
Mary
I believe it's held on one of mid levels of the big staircase at the back of the MDR.

The only noisy cabins on deck 10 we have experienced are in the aft under the outdoor seating of the WJ. When people are sliding chairs across the deck....that can get annoying. You should be fine in 1078.
