  1. I read many posts talking about the price per hour or per pass. So, there is no day pass for the entire day that you can go whenever you want and stay as long as you want?

Recently I read a post on Cruise Critic that said: "Before the Covid pandemic, Princess did provide shuttles between Yamashita Park(near Osanbashi) and Daikoku Cruise Terminal on embarkation and disembarkation days". Anyone knows if if this arrangements are still available? If so, I can walk to the Osanbashi pier from my hotel (less than 10 minutes), then take the Princess shuttle from there to the Daikoku cruise terminal. Thank you.
  3. Our first choice is to take Uber to our hotel (Circular Quay) from the airport. If Uber not available, then we will take a taxi. We will not have any AUD cash, and plan to use our U.S. credit card. Before we get into the taxi, do we need to check with the taxi driver if he/she takes U.S. credit card or must be cash only? Thank you.
  4. thank you. That is nice to know. We will be on Majestic next April for 27 days; hopefully will be able to swap our mini bar for 2 coffee packages (each person gets a package, just like what we've been getting on past cruises).

If we don't want to carry our luggage (2 of us, each have a 28" luggage and a 22" carryon) and walk about 10+ minutes from the Marriott at Circular Quay to the Oversea Passenger Terminal, how much do you think a taxi will cost us (around 10:30 a.m. on a Tuesday morning)? It is probably a very short ride. TIA.
  10. Thank you. Then around 9:30 a.m., we will see if we can get an Uber ride. If not, then find the taxi area and get a taxi. Any idea how much is the taxi cost in AUD from Kingsford airport to Circular Quay? And about how long is the ride? TIA.
  11. Next month, our flight will arrive on a Monday morning around 7 a.m. So probably around 8 a.m. or so will be done with Customs. We want to take a taxi to our hotel in Circular Quay. Since we will not be able to check-in to the hotel that early, we can leave the airport at a later time to avoid morning heavy traffic when people are going to work/school. Sydney morning heavy traffic usually ends around what time? Thank you.
  12. I also only had the problem with my Diamond cruise (Sept 2023 Japan cruise). I wonder if the problem is only with the Diamond excursions? Did you contact your TA and have your problem solved?
  13. We booked a 7 days and a 9 days cruise for this Sept. For the last 9 years, we have only cruised on the Royal class ship. Looking at the deck plan of Diamond, I noticed there is no International Cafe. So where on the ship do you buy the specialty coffee? And any place you can get sandwiches and snacks 24-hours (besides Room Service)? Also, I see on the Sun deck, there is an area named Japanese Bath. Is there a fee to use that area? Thank you.
  14. It does show I have OBC, just not allowing me to use it when I clicked "Pay Now" for my excursions.
  15. Just tried, now I can get to the excursions. Same thing as yesterday, when I chose "Pay Now", it came back with options "Credit card" or "Pay pal", and not deducting it from available OBC (like the way it used to be in the past when I booked excursions for my other cruises).
  16. Just went to my booking and tried to book excursions for my Sept cruise on Diamond. After my booking showed up, went to top of screen and chose "excursions", then the screen turned totally dark. Tried it on Chrome and Edge.
  17. Last week I used my OBC to pay for excursions for my upcoming April cruise on Majestic Princess, no problem at all. I used my OBC for pre-cruise purchase of excursions many times in the past with no problem. Today, I want to book excursions for my Sept. 2023 cruise on the Diamond Princess. I have more than enough OBC and can see the OBC in my account for that cruise. When I clicked "pay now", instead of asking me if I want to pay with my OBC, it only gave me the choice to pay with "credit card" or "Pay-pal". It no longer gives the option to pay with OBC. I wonder if this is another new change of Princess?
  18. So it is similar to outside insurance, which covers travel delay, trip interruption, baggage delay, baggage lost, etc.?
