  1. Thank you. I will start my next cruise on April 4; will buy it for everyone on that date. According to previous post, April 4 is the last date with 2 yr expiration.
  2. I just checked the app and couldn't find where I can buy FCD. I am not on the ship now. Do I need to be on the ship to use the app to buy FCD? Thank you.
  3. My plan is to go to the Future Cruise office on April 4, the 1st day of my upcoming cruise, and buy it. I need to buy for 4 other persons who are Princess members but will not be on Princess cruise until this September. I don't think I can buy for others on the app.
  4. I hope the other thread's info is correct. I will board Majestic on April 4, 2023 also, and buying FCD is on my "to do" list for April 4. We plan to buy 10 FCD each, and I sure hope the Future Cruise office will process it on April 4. In the past, after I dropped off the FCD form at the Future Cruise office, it took at least 3 days before I received email from the office informing me the order has been processed, and the email gave me the FCD numbers of each FCD.
  5. We will have a full day tour in Tauranga and a half day tour in Auckland; both private tour companies. What is normal tipping for tour guide for 1/2 day and full day tours? Thank you.
  6. Will be staying in Sydney Marriott one night pre-cruise. How much should I tip the person taking my luggage from taxi to my room? How much to leave in room for cleaning staff for one night stay? How much to tip taxi driver from airport to hotel? Thank you for any inputs!
  7. When is your next cruise on the Enchanted so you can try your new method? We will be on the Enchanted next March, and would like to use the toggle switch, and the connection to HDMI so we can use our portable media player. On all our past cruises, except Discovery Princess, we were always successful connecting to the HDMI input and were able to use our portable media player. Thank you!
  8. The taxi ride from Chinatown to Daikoku pier should be less than 15 minutes, right? 3400-4000 yen kind of expensive for such a short ride.
  9. Thank you. We each have a large luggage. Decided better off taking a taxi from hotel to Daikoku Pier.
  10. Thank you. I already finished my planning for the 3 Hawaii ports (DIY in Maui, Full Island tour in Honolulu, and for Kona, will be meeting friends who live there). When I start my planning for my Sept. Japan cruises, might have some questions regarding the ports. I will post my questions on this thread if you don't mind. Thank you.
  11. Just noticed you are from So Cal and Hawaii. We are also from So. Cal, and on our upcoming Transpacific cruise, we will be visiting 3 ports in Hawaii (Maui, Honolulu, and Kona). Our first time visiting Hawaii. We are not beach people, just want to do some sightseeing, shopping, and good eating. 😆
  12. Enjoy your cruise!! Right now I am busy finalizing my planning for our upcoming 27 days cruise from Sydney to L.A. on the Majestic Princess. Will leave for Sydney in about 2 weeks. Will work on planning for our 2 Japan cruises (7 days and 9 days cruises with 5 days on land in Yokohama between that 2 cruises) after we return from our Transpacific cruise. I am sure when the planning starts, I will have more questions. Thanks in advance for your help!!
  13. Thank you. The end point of the google map looks like it is where Osanbashi Pier is at. We don't travel light either. Probably better off to ask the hotel staff to call a taxi for us.
  14. We will be staying at the Daiwa Roynet Hotel - Koen again. We stayed at that hotel several years ago when we did the Transpacific cruise from Yokohama to Alaska. From the hotel, we walked about 10 minutes to the Osanbashi pier to board our cruise. So was just wondering if it will also be an easy walk from the hotel to Yamashita pier to catch the Princess shuttle? Thank you. https://www.daiwaroynet.jp/en/yokohama-koen/
  15. Thank you for the information. Is Yamashita Pier same as Osanbashi pier, the pier Princess uses for their other ships?
  16. Thank you. Do you still remember the "topic" of that post? If so, I can find it on CC and can ask the person of the post for more details. Thank you.
  17. In Sept., we will be embarking at Daikoku pier for the Diamond Princess. We will be staying at the Daiwa Roynet Hotel near Chinatown. The shuttle you mentioned is a free shuttle offered by Princess? The shuttle pick up point is in Chinatown or in Yamashita Park? Thank you.
  18. I read many posts talking about the price per hour or per pass. So, there is no day pass for the entire day that you can go whenever you want and stay as long as you want?
  19. Recently I read a post on Cruise Critic that said: "Before the Covid pandemic, Princess did provide shuttles between Yamashita Park(near Osanbashi) and Daikoku Cruise Terminal on embarkation and disembarkation days". Anyone knows if if this arrangements are still available? If so, I can walk to the Osanbashi pier from my hotel (less than 10 minutes), then take the Princess shuttle from there to the Daikoku cruise terminal. Thank you.
  20. Our first choice is to take Uber to our hotel (Circular Quay) from the airport. If Uber not available, then we will take a taxi. We will not have any AUD cash, and plan to use our U.S. credit card. Before we get into the taxi, do we need to check with the taxi driver if he/she takes U.S. credit card or must be cash only? Thank you.
