Thank you all. I must have gotten a Princess employee who didn't know how to redeem gift cards and charge card for the same booking. Thanks for the information on this forum, we just registered and each bought 5 gift cards. Will plan to buy more on January 1. Need to make final payments on 2 cruises on Jan. 5. At that time, I will try to see if I can use my previous purchased 2 cards (one partially used). Thank you again!! The AARP gift cards just saved us $1,000.

Last year, I bought several $500 Princess gift cards on Princess website during a promotion. In January, I used them to pay for 2 cruises. After paying for the 1st cruise, I still had one unused $500 card, and another $500 card with $200 unused balance. So, I called to pay payment on my 2nd cruise, the balance was $950. I planned to use the unused $500 card, used card with remaining balance of $200, and charge $250 with my credit card. The Princess agent told me Princess system can only take one type of payment, either pay all with gift cards or all with credit card. Since my remaining gift cards total only $700, which is not enough to pay my final payment balance of $950, then I will not be able to use my gift cards; I need to pay the entire $950 with my credit card. So now I am stuck with the two gift cards that I can only use them if I happen to have purchase of $750 or less,

Do you have to be a AARP member to buy the e-gift card? According to some previous posts on CC, you do not need to be a member. I am not a member. Last week I went to the AARP site trying to buy the gift cards, and needed to register (no charge) with an e-mail address. After registered, I was still not able to buy the gift cards, but started to get few emails from AARP every day.

Yes, hotel's Live Chat mentioned it is not a Stretched limousine. We have two 28" luggage and two 22" carryon. Both of us have knee problems, so not comfortable to walk too far. Also arms not too strong, so try not having to lift the luggages up and down too many times. ☺️ Definitely will try out the Mode Kitchen.

I did inquire with Four Seasons through Live Chat. It will be a limousine. According to Live Chat, the driver will meet us outside of the airport. Due to security reasons, if we want the driver to meet us inside the airport, I need to inform the airline in advance and make arrangements or get some kind of pre-approval.

Did you pay with cash or credit card? If credit card, how much additional service charge for using the card? We will arrive on Monday morning also, probably also around 8 a.m. before getting to the taxi line. Was a long walk to the taxi line from exit of luggage pickup? Was it easy to get a taxi? We prefer not to take the train. So taking taxi is better than taking Uber?

The hotel that we will be staying offers private pickup for AU$140, is that expensive? Will be from airport to Four Seasons Hotel Sydney. Another option that I am considering is the Uber service. Is Uber pickup area in the same area as taxis pickup? Is it far to walk to get to Uber pickup after exit from arrival level? Thank you.

Is there usually a credit card surcharge to use credit cards at markets, taxi, restaurants, convenience stores? In my hotel booking, there is fine print indicating there is a 2% surcharge for paying with credit card. I am also trying to decide how much cash I should get at ATM at the Sydney airport. Will be staying in Sydney for one day pre-cruise.

We will be doing a Princess Transpacific cruise in early April. Our itinerary includes 3 NZ ports; Bay of Islands, Tauranga, and Auckland. We will appreciate any suggestions or information on the above mentioned ports on what is there to do or "must see/visit" . Thanks in advance!!
