My cruise was 2016 or ‘17. I didn’t hear any rude words from the captain!
  2. As, I believe, old C did as well. You're such positivity and charm. Do you find it difficult to carry on such a cheerful demeanor?
  3. Steve also has many useful articles addressing various trip insurance questions, on the web site.

Mr B and I were fortunate to cruise out of Antwerp on one of our best ever cruises. We had also stopped there on a river cruise. Wonderful memories, both! When we departed on Symphony, in the middle of the night, I snuck out of our deck seven stateroom to go outside and view our turning around in the river. I can reconstruct the quiet, chilly, dark surroundings, as if it were yesterday. Actually, I just looked it up. Pushback was 5 am! Indeed, your city is outstanding.

    This is on Ocean, correct?

How cute! Thx for the photo, Clay.
  7. Definitely not correct, unless there has been a drastic change. It proves our point that not all res. agents are created equal. Excursions and products in the shops are what I used our OBC for in November and what I plan to use it for in June.
  8. Is that a plus or a minus? In 2014, I can’t think of any great wait-staff on Oceania, but that was almost ten years ago.
  9. Oh, Adrian. Thank you for sharing Tonto with us. Good that you made it home to give him a proper good bye. Great description of your journey and the short comparison. Happy planning, and enjoy enjoy enjoy. —May B Muriel

    Casino?

I agree the lounge was frustratingly cold, but on my cruise in November, it was used by guests watching t.v. (sporting events), playing Scrabble, doing jigsaw puzzles. It’s a great place to stop before or after a show in Galaxy, as long as you’re not looking for bar service. Actually, it worked extremely well as the check-in area, on embarkation day.
  11. Saving $1500 when you can’t decide can be helpful!
  12. Roy, you truly have put together many fabulous trips. While it’s sad that your travel days may be a thing of the past, it’s also true that you have designed many beautiful trips full of wonderful memories. I am so appreciativ3 of your willingness to share these memories with us.
  13. Are you going to the lavender farm? And British tea at Butchart really appeals to me, too. We could rent a car and book separately, to save money. But a year later, I certainly won’t miss the extra dollars. I’m more into ease and avoiding hassles/worries.
  14. It’s still true. Make both reservations, then email obgs@crystalcruises.com. it most likely would also work, to go to the maitre d on embarkation day. He’ll be holding court at Osteria d’Ovidio, but he handles all the specialty reservations. I wouldn’t wait until the evening of, and just show up.
  15. Here’s wishing her continued safety and a successful return at an appropriate time in the future.
  16. All hail the return of seasack in the role previously played by Rob, then seasack, then Terry, if I’ve been paying close attention. Thank you, seasack!
  17. Dwight, keep enjoying! I loved your very quick trip into a McDonald’s. I’m so happy to see this thread, which looks like it’ll be a wonderful one. Thank you to Terry for posting Reflections, Patty for checking the exchange rate, and Keith for pricing a Big Mac. And Dwight, for taking us along!
  18. I’m glad to see Patty did the count. The cost of the veranda vs the window is so little, those veranda cabins sell quickly. I was fortunate to snag a midship one when I booked as soon as itineraries were posted. Since you have almost a year, though, it seems like you could clear any time. I am guessing you’re fine with a forward location! Besides the veranda vs. not having one, there are three differences you might not think of until you’re actually cruising. Being on deck seven is nice when you’re going to library, computer room, and the rest of the things back there. Also, even though you don’t have a veranda, you can dash outside easily b/c you’re on deck seven. In the veranda cabin, you’re n a sea of aquamarines, so your jr. butler may not think of you on equal footing as the aquamarines. Keith, did your waitlist actually CLEAR on embarkation day?
  19. I sure hope not, as I’m onboard until July 2nd!
  20. Enjoy, Sandy! I chose classic to have the bathtub. I was very happy to see ryndam say he prefers the classic’s layout.
  21. Thanks you, AS! I hope you’re having a wonderful time.
