  1. Your minor correction has already been noted. I'm not suggesting anything factual, but simply saying that since Zenith already has the package included, vouchers for six drinks such as their tier counterpart Pinnacle would not be necessary IMO. The question could just as well be asked as why would they change that to lessen the benefit to Zenith? But as the entire conversation is hypothetical, there is no clear right or wrong answer either way. Others have suggested the migration, in particular of Pinnacles, to Celebrity. Are there facts or data to support this or is it just supposition? Curious.
  2. Your interpretation of how RCCL's tier level drink benefits works, and how it changed, needs a little clarity. RCCL used to have unlimited drinks each night including embarkation day in the Diamond Club during their cocktail hours which lasted for 3-1/2 hours. This benefit was available to Diamond tiers and higher. (Celebrity does not offer this on embarkation day or Captains night and it is for 2 hours only on the days it is offered). The change to this was a few years pre-pandemic and was the result of high crowd levels in the DC. The change was help thin the herd in the DC which then allowed for Diamond to have 4 vouchers, Diamond + to have 5 vouchers, and Pinnacle to have 6 vouchers loaded on their SeaPass card daily for use anywhere on the ship at anytime - including in the DC during cocktail hours. (Early on the drink count during the cocktail hours in the DC was not necessarily enforced as it is now). If Celebrity were to follow this, the amount of vouchers likely would be aligned by tier at Elite with 4, Elite+ with 5 (as you indicate). Zenith already has the drink package included, so this would be moot with them. We feel this has worked out well. The vouchers also are combinable between spouses allowing for (in our case) 10 drinks per couple per day where I can use mine for her and visa versa. Unused vouchers at the end of the day can be used for unopened canned or bottled beverages (beer, truly, water, soda) which can be taken to your stateroom for another time. The vouchers can also be used individually for discounts on bottles of wine purchased.
  3. I tend to agree. It is a novelty restaurant whose food presentation is very unique and pretty good IMO. But for me, it's a one trick pony - you do it once and it's entertaining, but then that's enough. Similarly on Celebrity with Qsine / La Petite Chef. But they vary the menu mid-week there so the presentation isn't the same. But after one or two visits the novelty wears off. That's also how I see Wonderland.
  4. Very unusual. That typically is one of their key positions with lots of takers.
  5. Yes. Likely a long, slow, circuitous and non-direct route to cover the 60 miles back to Port Everglades. But it will be full day at sea covering probably two (or three) times the actual distance back. As to "padding" the length as mentioned by the OP, typically 3 and 4 day itineraries with the same ship alternate each back to back to provide a single 7 day cycle each week. Slow as the last day at sea may be, it does provide for a full 4 day itinerary for that cruise.
  6. Typically with RCCL "N" designates and Ocean View stateroom category, and the number before designates the sub-category, typically based on deck and location, with "1" being the highest and usually most expensive stateroom in that category. So 4N would be a lower subcategory of an Ocean View stateroom.
  7. This is not worth discussing. I care because I respect their work and would not want to deny them their gratuities. End of my discussion.
  8. Never said you can't remove them. Only said the staff will know. But to me it's a moot point as I would never remove them as after 32 years of cruising, I recognize and respect the work the staff does and am happy to contribute to their income through my gratuities.
  9. Yeah that's surprising. As they are all 3rd party contracted services, there is no expense per se to the cruise line to have them available. And with the % the cruise line takes from their sales, its all a plus revenue stream. Maybe was an issue with the photography company.
  10. Maybe $60 per day in real value, $160 per day to the cruise line - LOL
  11. Well if I don't see you on board, have a great cruise! BTW Cape Liberty was the port to which I was referring regarding bringing water on board.
  12. Take it with you either way if you want to. Worst that happens is you have to leave it at the terminal. And either way, on board Guest Service will be able to assist. And again, if it is a CPAP, they will also provide an extension cord. Enjoy your cruise. BTW we are leaving tomorrow as well on Eclipse - same ship?
  13. Rather than see what happens at the terminal, I would suggest calling Celebrity special needs department and explain your situation to see whether or not you can easily bring it on board of they would have other on board options. Typically the will provide it for you.
  14. We have frequently brough water on as much as a full case of 12 oz plastic bottles as checked luggage without issue. Have never experience gallon containers, however. Don't know if that would create and issue or not. But if this is for a CPAP or other similar application, Celebrity will provide distilled water for you to use.
  15. Not always efficient at removing them - LOL. Also leaves a quick option to reinstate. But it is not an confirmed booking without a deposit. Ditto your last response as well.... They do like to keep certain group booking options open.
  16. Correct, depending on required deposit date. I was answering the OP's question as an individual booking, but that may not be the case.
  17. I'm on the side of not much real value for the money. In general I agree with @Ourusualbeach with the price point consideration, and with the comments by @Tree_skier. And maybe not even then...... IMO, you have to keep in mind that anything offered for additional purchase beyond the basic cruise fare benefits the cruise line first - and most.
  18. Unless the hold is confirmed with a deposit to the reservation, it will be dropped typically 3-5 days after the initial hold. Holds are considered as reservations "offered" and become a confirmed booking only with a deposit.
  19. I don't think that it is port dependent. Every RCCL cruise that I can recall that we have been on in the past 32 years has had a boarding picture station somewhere in the terminal, or perhaps on board. Typically in the terminal en route to boarding after check in. I cannot recall one that didn't.
  20. When I indicated that we rarely dine in the MDR, depending on the ship we also are not frequent visitors to the WJ other than the occasional breakfast or lunch. We have most of our dinners in the specialty restaurants, and breakfast and lunch at other venues when not in the WJ. With the specialty restaurants, there is a separate waitstaff and there is a separate gratuity included in restaurant fee. (Even with that, we occasionally find ourselves adding an additional amount at the end of the meal if the service was particularly good). As mentioned before, for us its simpler to leave everything in tact and add more when and if we want to. Enjoy your cruising!
  21. Regarding the seating question. The reserved seating will likely be in a designated area as with other ships. As with other ships, you are not required to sit there, but that is the area that would be reserved for you. You can sit anywhere you wish in the theater as general seating. I believe you need to make reservations for the spa.
  22. Just to answer your question, you can book multiple staterooms, but each must have the required deposit transacted by credit card at the time of booking. And to add, it cannot be charged to your current on board account and OBC cannot be used for this purpose. Each stateroom deposit is charged as a direct transaction to your credit card.
